Best non toxic nail polish for

5

I'll start off saying my daughter love theseand i love that it non-toxic and safer to use on her. It's a bit expensive for one and also it chips off easily, but you can't have your cake and eat it too. Piggy Paint is safe and non-toxic and if you want a nail polish that lasts for 3 weeks and shines like a diamond then go buy any run of the mill nail polish that's full of chemicals with names you can't pronounce. Piggy Paint gets 5 stars from me. It comes in cute colors, has virtually no smell (whatever smell it has reminds me mildly of peanuts) and is entirely safe for your children to use. Two things worth noting: I also ordered the pink but received a darker, almost purple color. Secondly, I accidentally dropped a bottle of this on our wood floors and it broke and spilled all over. The glass hardly slivered/shattered (easier to cleanup and no glass shards all over the place), and the nail polish was really easy to clean up off the floor.

Perfect for kids but adults need better performance

I bought some of this piggy paint for my nieces this Christmas. I wanted to do manicures and pedicures for a girls night in with them. It hadn't even occurred to me that the nail polish I use wouldn't be safe for little kid fingers, but then I read that they're dangerous for kids because they keep putting their fingers in their mouths. Not to mention, the harmful chemical smell as it dries. I bought these colors: Ice Cream Dream (teal), Eat Your Peace (bright green), Pinkie Promise (magenta shimmer), and Clouds of Candy (shimmer white). The colors were all fairly true to the bottle, which isn't always the case with the more "natural" polishes on the market. Often time the more natural polishes have a tendency to become dull and matte as they dry. This does happen a bit with piggy paints, but not too bad. The paint was a little watery and needed a couple coats to get full coverage, especially on the darker colors. The brushes and bottles are pretty juvenile, which is good as that's what they're targeted towards. The staying power on these polishes isn't great and all the girls noticed some chipping right away. The polishes are marketed as having a special polish remover, but regular rubbing alcohol seems to work just fine.

Natural and Safe for my Toddler and Me

I was thrilled to find this brand. There are a few drawbacks, which I will list in a moment. These drawbacks, in my thinking, are well worth the benefit of having a non-toxic, safe nail polish that comes in many fun colors for my daughter and for myself. Whether I am pregnant, nursing, trying to conceive, or just would rather not be soaking in chemicals on a daily basis, I just don't see the point in only using safer items for our babies and children! The drawbacks are that the polish is more expensive than some brands, and that the polish chips more easily than some brands. Admittedly, I have yet to blow dry my nails on warm for 1 minute, as the polish recommends for maximum chip resistance. Another drawback is that it isn't sold everywhere. Still I will deal with those drawbacks, for the peace of mind that this brand gives me. I had given up wearing nail polish because of my concerns about the terrible ingredients in them. I am thankful to be able to look down and see cute colorful polish, again!

Natural as mud! Piggy Paint

When I found out I was having twin girls, I started to think about the fun "girly" things we could do together. One of the things that immediately came to mind, was fingernail polish! When my kids were about three, however, I started looking around at the cosmetics and realized that I wasn't thrilled with the natural options available in nail polish. Finally, after a bit of searching, I discovered Piggy Paint. I'm competely satisfied with the ingredients and feel totally safe using it on my preschoolers, (even though they still put their fingers in the mouth fairly often). My kids love the colors and get so excited when I give them a manicure! While the products are pricey, I think it is totally worth it for the natural ingredients, and low odor. One negative is that the polish really doesn't stay on well (even when using the top coat and base coat as directed). That honestly doesn't bother me because we just let it wear off rather than using the polish remover. Definitely a hit with my twin girls!

I love Piggy Paint!!! I am so happy someone decided to produce a safe, non-toxic, low odor, and not to mention FUN nail polish product specially designed to be safe for use on children. Although it's pretty expensiver per bottle, deals can be found at various flash and daily deal sites on the internet. They even sell Piggy Paint pedicure kits at The Children's Place. Polishes come in various shades of pink, red, and purple, but there are also fun colors like metallic blue, green, yellow, orange, and even glow in the dark Piggy Paint (which is super cool for Halloween, or for regular fun use). The Piggy Paint packaged in sets of two (Breast Cancer support package) or two + nail polish remover are cheaper than buying individual paints. Best part is it is low odor, so less offensive when you apply it. Buy it, you'll love it!

Great for Babies..I'd pass other than that

Non Toxic, and safe. VERY expensive. The bottles are so small, you barely get enough. For my 9 month old I use it, for the fact she is constantly sucking on her feet and hands. They come in a huge assortment of colors, but it's not easy to come buy. One consignment store near me sells it, but it's expensive. I can get better deals online. When I shop online I don't want to be buying nail polish. As soon as my girl is out of the putting everything in her mouth phase I'll switch to regular nail polish. I only paint her toes anyway, and I'm not concerned about the smell. I can easily open a window or paint her nails outside. I don't buy expensive nail polish for myself, and I think it's a bit ridiculous to pay more for baby nail polish and get less than I would in one of my jars. It chips easily, but that can be expected especially when we are talking crawling babies. It comes in a super cute package, and it makes a great gift.

I have used many nail polishes in the past and this one is not my favorite. I did like that it had a very low odor and was not nearly as strong as most nail polishes are. It took 3 coats for me to get a color that I was happy with. I tried two shades of red and a shade of blue. I was not happy with the quality for the amount of money that I had to pay to buy this nail polish. I ended up throwing both bottles away because it was not worth the time of having to put 3 coats of paint on each nail in order to be happy with it. I also thought it took too long to dry. I normally use Cover Girl Nail polish and like it much better than I do this brand. I, personally, will never purchase this brand again unless they prove that they have improved some aspects. Also, they would need to drop the price a good bit for it to be a good deal. I will stick with Cover Girl from now on. This polish also chipped after 2 days of wearing it!

LOVE IT!!!!!!

What a great idea. I am such a girly girl and I love having my nails painted, which is probably why I couldn't wait till my daughter was old enough so I could paint her nails. I always worry about harsh chemicals and fumes being exposed to my children.  I am so happy to find such an amazing product! It is well worth the cost and you can watch some of the daily deal sights to even get it half off. It comes in a variety of beautiful colors for kids through adult.  My daughter got this is her stocking for Christmas. She loves to have her nails painted just like Mommy!!!  I love that they made the wand small so its super easy to pain a toddlers nails with ease. It also dries very quickly with a hair dryer!!!   LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!!  There is no harsh smell or odor.  It also last for a couple of years, unlike most polishes.  It is safe for everyone and that is what is most important for me when choosing products for my children.!

Love the non toxic part of the Piggy paint

4

Being pregnant and having the overwhelming sensitivity to all smells, I was in need of an alternative to the smelly nail polish I used. Of course, I always loved Revlon, Sally Hansen and so on, but not while pregnant!! I came across Piggy paint through a blog review and was intrigued so I decided to try it out. To my surprise, the nail polish was completely non toxic and works almost as well as the more famous brands mentioned above. I found the polish to be pretty long lasting, but a bit of a pain to take off. It can really stick to your nails! However the non toxic part sold me. Pregnant women still want to take care of themselves and don't need to settle so I would definitely recommend this to someone who is pregnant or has high smell or skin sensitivity. The paint comes in a variety of colors (quite a lot of pinks though) and it is quite pricey. That would be the only downside, but if you purchased a few bottles-you're set for the 9 months ahead!

No Smells!!

I love piggy paint and while it can be expensive if you buy it through a co-op you can save a lot of money on it!   It really does hold true to the non-toxic and no or low smells.   I love that!  I love that I can feel like my daughter can have this and I don't have to worry about her with it.   The colors that they have are amazing vibrant colors especially the new line project earth!   My daughter loves the glow in the dark one!   It's great that she can enjoy the fun colors, low odor, all natural, non-toxic piggy paint nail polish and can be a girly girly at age three without momma worrying at work that she might put her fingers in her mouth with something that contains a ton of chemicals.   I always give these out to friends for birthday parties and newborns.  recently one of my friends had twin girls, and in order to keep them straight she uses piggy paint on the toes, ella gets pink and myra gets purple.   My only grip is that it doesn't stay on long, it's not as durable, although I haven't tried the new top coat and base coat to know if that helps yet.
