PhoneMate - Performance Series 7650 Review

I had used this phone happily for a few years until the answering machine messages became so scrambled that I couldn't understand them.  I took it for repairs and was told that the casette in it was worn out and should be replaced.  I bought one, and they replaced it for me.  However, it did not help.  The messages are just as bad.  I no longer use the answering maching feature, but I still keep it connected beside my computer.  I like the hold feature so much that I can't give it up.  I put it on the speaker while I am on hold and can continue working at my computer until someone picks up.  The redial message number can be checked, and that is helpful to me.  I have a tendency to forget who I called last.  If I check the number before hitting redial, I am not embarrassed by reaching the wrong person.  It has a personal message feature that I often use to remind myself of something and/or to leave messages for family members who are not at home.
