***Quick View:*** This mask is actually a deep conditioner that can be used daily or as needed. It does a great job hydrating hair without dragging it down. ***Philosophy Shear Splendor Age Defying Conditioning Mask*** This conditioner comes in a 7.5 ounce tub and is thick like the heaviest body butter. It's yellow and smells of lemon custard. When it was first marketed with the* Philosophy Shear Splendor Age Defying Shampoo* (See my review), it was to be used a daily conditioner. I worried that it would be too heavy for my straight, fine hair but it wasn't. I would slather some of the mask on my hair, wait a minute or two and rinse. My hair was impossibly shiny and silky and very bouncy. However, after using the mask for several weeks, I did notice that my hair was looking a tad limp. I cut back on the amount of mask I used and that helped. Philosophy, reading my mind, came out with a daily conditioner and advised to use this as a deep conditioning mask or to use it daily if your hair was deeply damaged. Now I use this mask every few days and it is back to doing the job right. My hair is full, silky, shiny, and has body. It feels incredibly soft but has no flyaways. The combination of the shampoo and this mask are a dynamic duo that really makes hair look amazing. If you have chemically treated, very dry, or damaged hair, use this daily. Otherwise, try it a few times a week. You need only a small amount to get the benefits. It's a very, very good deeper conditioner which I will use as I have been to keep my hair from drying out or dulling. ***My Viewpoint*** This mask is a wonderful deep conditioner that will have your hair looking young and untouched once again. All the damage from the environment, chemicals, hot styling tools, and day to day living is minimized with regular use of this mask - whether you use it every day or just a few times a week. For a deeper conditioning experience, leave the mask on for five to 10 minutes before rinsing. Soft, silky, shiny hair will be yours once again.
