This cleanser is perhaps the simplest cleanser I have used. It is eggnog color and pearly. You squeeze a small out and rub it on your wet face. It doesn’t bubble or lather. It smells slightly odd because there are no added fragrances in it. It rinses off fast and clean and leaves skin hydrated. But does it REALLY cleanse? I tried it with a full face of makeup. I know a lot of people love Philosophy Purity made simple. I am not one of them unfortunately this cleaner does not work well with my skin. I broke out in little white bumps, developed dry patches, my face was irritated and turned very red while using it the redness lasted for several hours. I does remove all of my makeup very easily but it does not foam up at all. I like cleansers that foam up and really make my face clean. I have to admit, I love Philosophy. I have another confession, I hate the pricetag on most of their products. This Facial cleanser is an exception. I don't mind paying the price on this product. I have combination skin and I live in Michigan when in the winter I have dry patches mixed with redness. Finding a good facial cleanser has always been a chore for me. The Philosophy Purity Made Simple Cleanser is the absolutely the BEST cleanser in the market!  I have tried them all!!!!  This cleanser beats them out by a mile.  I suffer with dry flaky, sensitive skin.  This cleanser moisturizes my face, without irritating it, like so many cleansers do.  And it really cleans.  Typically, with other cleansers, I always needed a makeup remover and a toner to make my skin feel clean.  But then it always felt stripped.  With Purity, I never need a separate makeup remover or toner.  This is one step cleaning.  It takes off all of my makeup, even my stubborn...

Philosophy's Purity Made Simple is a no frills cleanser that really gets the job done without a lot of scrubbing. It's a fairly watery-feeling cleanser that suds up pretty well, goes on your face very smooth, and rinses off just as easily. It evened out my skin tone, seemed to help with dry skin, and kept my breakouts at bay, too.

I know this cleanser is supposed to be fragrance-free, but this stuff definitely has a scent. I personally like the way it smells, and since it's not an overpowering scent, it really doesn't bother me at all.

I love all Philosophy products.  I recommend them in conjunction with each other.  I use the dry sensitive skin cream in conjunction with this One Step Facial Cleanser.  It was amazing.  I love the philosphy cleanser one step. 

It is the only cleanser that makes me feel great.  It does not make my skin feel tight after I wash my face with it.  It also does not dry me out or make my skin itch after using it.  It is gentle yet strong enough to wash off the make up (but not the water proof mascara or any mascara you layered a couple of times).  It almost feels like you got a facial at a...

Again I have to say I love the Philosophy Brand.  I am also willing to admit not all their products are outstanding and perfect in every way.  However, I think Purity Made Simple, is truly the very best facial cleanser ever created. 

The scent makes me think fresh and natural.  It is not chemical or fruit or flower scented.  As with all their products I don't feel like you need to use a lot of it for it to be effective or work. I just use a dime size of the cleanser, wash with warm water and voila! Every stitch of make-up is off my face.

I love Purity by Philosophy. This is the only facial cleanser I will ever need again. I've been a loyal fan for about 3 years. I used to have a problem with dry skin after cleansing.
