Cocoa is one of my favorite beverages and I even drink it during the summer! I can't explain how delighted I was to receive Philosophy Double Rich Hot Cocoa Shampoo, Shower Gel, and Bubble Bath as one of my graduation gifts! First of all, it smells just like a wonderful rich cup of hot cocoa! It smells so rich and creamy! I could literally smell it all day! I love the fact that it serves three purposes! I can have a relaxing bubble bath and inhale the wonderful scent of rich, hot cocoa, take a hot shower, or wash my hair with this product. It does an amazing job on all three. It makes a wonderful lather full of bubbles. Effectiveness This is a fabulous product! It works wonderfully as a shower gel, makes a rich, relaxing bubble bath with an abundance of bubbles, and makes a rich shampoo. It leaves you feeling so fresh! When you use it as a shampoo it makes your hair smell delicious and look very shiny. The smell is positively heavenly if you love chocolate and hot cocoa! Scent This scent is so fabulous. It smells positively delicious! It is true to its name-it smells just like a rich, decadent mug of hot cocoa. I love how it makes me smell. I love how it makes my bathroom smell too!

I received the Philosophy Double Rich Shampoo, Shower Gel & Bubble Bath as Christmas gifts from my mother last year because I was dealing with depression and anxiety so she felt that buying me this would help me feel better and it did. It has a relaxing and exhilerating fragrance and feel great. I love this product and have now bought for myself several times. The bubble bath is like heaven in a little bottle, the best bubble bath I have ever had. This product seems like something that you could only find in a salon or spa but is available at most retail stores and is very affordable. Makes a great product for baby showers (all new moms would appreciate it), birthday parties or just a quick thank you gift. Effectiveness Works great and relaxing you and creating that serene calm environment very well. Great to use after a long day or a nice romantic bath. Scent The fragrance is outstanding. You would swear you are in a spa being pampered and feeling great. Great product.

I normally love all of Philosophy's shower gels but this one fell a little short for me. The problem was not the gel itself, but the scent. It's a rather cloying, artificial, and cheap chocolate smell. It's almost as if they melted a cheap chocolate bar and poured it into the shower gel. It's just not good. As a bubble bath it is a bit better, but I found I had this bottle languishing in my cabinet for almost a year and I just had trouble using it up because I didn't want to smell that fake smell while showering. While the smell may be lacking, the gel itself performs exactly as a Philosophy shower gel should - as a shower gel, bubble bath, and shampoo. It foams up beautifully in the shower when used with a shower pouf and in the bath it provides loads of long lasting, moisturizing bubbles. As a shampoo it cleanses without weighing your hair down. I'd like to be able to recommend this, but I really can't. While it is adequate it just doesn't have a great scent. I'd give this one a pass and try another Philosophy option since they have so many other, better ones.

I am a huge fan of Philosophy's products. I like almost every product I have used that has Philosophy's name on it. Philosophy's 3-In-One, shampoo, shower gel, and bubble bath line is not only convenient, but it always makes my hair feel very clean and it doesn't dry it out like many shampoos do. It lathers well, rinses clean and prepares my hair for the conditioning that I must use, regardless of the brand of shampoo I use. My long, color treated, sun damaged hair will always require conditioning, but this Philosophy treats my hair better than many shampoos on the market, and it's obvious when I rinse the product from my hair. I have no problem with the performance of **Philosophy Double Rich Hot Cocoa Shampoo, Shower Gel & Bubble Bath **when I use it as a shampoo. I also have no complaints with the amount of bubbles this product produces when I use it as a bubble bath. It doesn't take much to produce a large amount of bubbles and they stick around as long as most other bubble bath's bubbles. Using this product as a shower gel is great, too. It lathers well, makes me feel clean, and doesn't dry out my skin. It actually seems to add some much needed moisture to my super dry skin, and I like that fact a lot. What I don't like at all about this particular 3-In-One is the scent, and I really don't like that at all. I thought I would like the fragrance of Double Rich Hot Cocoa as a shampoo, bubble bath, and/or shower gel, but I don't. That surprises me because I absolutely love drinking rich cocoa, and chocolate in general, for that matter. I like the way it smells and the way it soothes and comforts me. I don't like for my hair of body to smell like it, though. Not even a little bit. I suppose taking a bath in a tub full of very rich cocoa isn't very appealing, and neither is taking a bath or washing my hair with this product. Even though the scent doesn't linger for long at all, and it's gone from my skin and hair very quickly after I am finished bathing or showering, I still don't like it. Maybe it were not quite as strong I would like it at least enough to use it, but this product's fragrance is so very strong that it's almost nauseating. I tried it twice, twice I was overcome by the overwhelming scent, and that was enough for me. I will not be using this in my hair , in my bath, or on my body again. It's simply too much of a good thing and my nostril's can't handle it. So, there you have it. If you think you would like shampooing or bathing with extremely strongly scented rich hot cocoa, maybe you would like this product. As for me--I will stick to drinking double rich hot cocoa and I will shampoo and bathe with products that don't make me feel like I fell into a vat of chocolate waiting to be poured over cherries or made into candy bars.
