It didn't work for me but it may foryou

By

from Ringgold, GA

Comments about Philosophy Completely Clear Skin System:

I bought this kit last Christmas and was not very pleased with it. I am 31 and have never had acne until the last few years and have really struggled with it. This was one of the first products I tried and it didn't work for me. Proactiv is the only thing that a doctor hasn't prescribed that has worked for me.

This product may work for others. I have heard good reviews on it in magazines and on the internet but it didn't really even seem to help my problem at all but my skin may be worse than others.

The one positive thing that I have to say about it is that the products don't dry your skin out which is a plus.

To me it was just another product that I wasted money on to try to solve a problem but depending on how bad your acne is it may work for you!

I wouldn't even give it three stars but I realize that different things work for other people. I hope it works for you if you decide to try it.

innovative product that works

By

Comments about Philosophy Completely Clear Skin System:

I love philosophy's innovative themes and names.  It sends out a sort of traditional message that is highly approachable and likeable.  I tried philosophy on a clear day because I absolutely love this brand and all it has to offer, especially its smells and pretigious reputation.  This took a few days to clear up my pimples, but a good thing is that it did not overdry my pimples and worked.  I think it needs a tad bit more medication in it to heal the healing process, but other than that it is great

Doctor brand skincare without the prescription

By

from Chicago, IL

Comments about Philosophy Completely Clear Skin System:

This is a review about the on a clear day acne system by philosophy.

philosophy is generally known for their fun shower gels and grace-collection fragrances, but the company originally started with a medical background.  The brand was designed to be used at dermatologist and plastic surgeons offices, so you know that skincare is something the company knows a thing or two about.

The system has four pieces to it.  The on a clear day wash is a sulfer-based cleanser.  While maybe not smelling the best (it is sulfer, after all), it surely works.  Sulfer has a drying effect, which will help with oil in the skin.  The on a clear day h2o2 is also great.  It helps with redness in skin.  on a clear day protection cream works as a protectant.  It seals in the treatment you have applied while offering a "protective barrier" to outside environmetal factors that can clog the pores (dust, dirt, debris-all of which will clog the pores and result in breakout).  And the on a clear day spot treatment works wonders on the breakouts that still make it through.  Apply it to the breakout and it will go away in a short time.

Now, for full disclosure-I know so much about the product because, in the past, I used to work for the company.  I am no longer employed by them and have worked with several other cosmetic companies, but I have to say that philosophy's acne treatments are still the best to me.

Completely different from other acne products I've tried.

By

from Knoxville, TN

Comments about Philosophy Completely Clear Skin System:

I tried the Philosophy Skin Care system after being a Proactiv user for years.  Proactiv worked well for my skin, but it never completely cleared up my breakouts AND it was really harsh.  I often had discomfort while using the product, and my pillowcases, nightgowns, etc. were bleached by the benzoyl peroxide.  Philosophy doesn't use benzoyl peroxide, it uses salicylic acid and sulfur.  And it doesn't stink like most sulfur-containing products do - you can't even tell it's in there.  The best thing about it is that I don't experience any burning, redness, or excessive drying of my skin.  I have only been using the product for about three weeks now, but I can already tell a difference.  I have fewer breakouts and my face isn't so oily.  I realize I have a few weeks to go before I can tell just how effective the product will be, but based on others' reviews and on the effectiveness so far, I have really high hopes.

Philosophy skin care systems really work!

By

from Franklin, TN

Comments about Philosophy Completely Clear Skin System:

I had heard that the Philosophy brand was excellent for skin care, and since I had started getting adult acne, I was desperate to find something that worked. I had tried Proactive, Clean and Clear, Neutrogena, you name it... Most brands had helped, but I was still breaking out. Even when my skin was at its best, I could never totally get rid of the blackheads on my nose, either, and I was also looking for anything that would help with this problem as well. I tried Philosophy's Completely Clear Skin Care System, with great reluctance, and am happy to say that I was proven wrong. My skin has completely changed for the better! I don't have break- outs anymore, and I have seen a huge difference in the overall look of my skin. It is now softer, my pores are smaller, and I have a slight glow that was never there before. It did take some time for this system to work, however. The first month I saw began to see a difference, but by the second month... I was a believer. I am so glad that I have found something that works!
