So relieved that this doesn't smell like maple syrup.

The Verdict - I didn't really want this "flavor" of Philosophy shower gel but since it came in a set with flavors that I really did want I dealt with it. I'm not a big fan of maple syrup (the smell or the taste) so I figured it would be sickly sweet and I'd hate it.  Fortunately it contains only a drop of maple and I really like it.  I'd actually buy it again.

Just the Facts - A few weeks ago QVC offered a set of 3 Philosophy 3-in-1 products for a really good price. Two of the flavors sounded really great but the bottle of Philosophy 3-in-1 Shampoo, Shower Gel, and Bubble Bath in the Belgian Waffles scent didn't really excite me.  Still I placed the order thinking I'd give that one away if it smelled too sweet.

When I opened the bottle though it had a lovely vanilla/butter scent with just a touch of maple.  It actually does not smell as much like waffles as it does like waffle cones which is a good thing.

I really like highly fragranced bath and body products and Belgian Waffles does not disappoint.  It has a baked goods scent that quickly fills the bathroom with its comforting scent.

Philosophy's 3-in-1 products are a bit more expensive than similar products offered by competitors but they are better.  I took a break from Philosophy products when I found Bath and Body Works' 3-in-1 products which are about $4 a bottle cheaper and more colorful, but having used this most recent Philosophy purchase I found that I prefer the brand.  Philosophy is much thicker and richer than other products.  I use less product but the lather is thicker and creamier and the scents are more true.

Closing Argument - Belgian Waffles is another hit from Philosophy.  It cleanses and rinses well and is enjoyable to use in the shower as a shower gel.  I've used other 3-in-1 products as shampoo and bubble bath in the past but they do not perform very well in those roles so I generally only use them as shower gel.  I love the light, comforting scent of this product and would definitely but it again.

I think I would also be hesitant to use it based on the name, but it sounds like it smells better than the name suggests. Glad it worked out. :)
