The Phillips DVD player and VCR, model number DVP3345V/17 is a very affordable and efficient, high quality player and recorder.  Target sells this model for $89.99.  The unit is attractive and blends well in any decor.

The VCR features include an automatic head cleaner; English, French, and Spanish Menus and Displays; a 19 Micron head; one-touch and timer recorder; repeat playback; satellite link; time, index, forward and reverse searching; slow motion; still picture; tape counter; and tracking adjustment. The tapes the VCR records are clear and play back very well, both vivsually and in sound.

The DVD features include audio language choices; camera angles; DVD menus in desired languages; markers; MP3 playback; JPEG playback; Windows Media audio playback; dual playback; parental control; paused, fast, slow, and step-by-step playback; program playback; progessive scan; random playback; A-B repeat; resume on; specific time, title, chapter, and track search; subtitles; and zoom. Camera angles, audio language choices, subtitles, and parental control are only availabe if they are available on the disc being played back. It plays back DVDs very well, both visually and in audio.

The unit comes with an English/Spanish Owners manual with 63 pages in each language.  The manual is well written with easy to follow diagrams and instructions, making hook up quite easy.  The remote control is slender and contoured to the hand with easy to read controls.

I highly reccommend this unit to anyone looking for high quality on a low budget.
