I listen to a lot of music on my laptop, but the headphones that came with my MP3 player hurt my ears, so I borrowed my husband's JVC Gumy In-Ear Headphones, but they hurt my ears worse. I wanted a pair of headphones that completely encased my ears and I found them: Philips Stereo TV Headphones. These headphones are perfect for me - they don't hurt my ears, they sound great and they are inexpensive.
Philips Stereo TV Headphones are over-the-ear headphones. They don't sit on top of your ears like the old CD player headphones used to, these literally cup your whole ear and encase it. What makes these different from other over-the-ear headphones is that they have a 20 foot cord so that you can plug them into your television and wear them while sitting on your couch. I bought them to plug into my laptop, so I don't need their 20 foot TV cord, but they happened to be the cheapest over-the-ear headphones at Target ($22.00) so I bought them.
My Philips Stereo TV Headphones are extremely comfortable. They don't hurt my ears at all since they cup over them and are not inserted into my ears. As the packaging states, they have an "acoustic reflector" for enhanced bass performance. These headphones sound great and have a perfect amount of bass and treble. There is a volume control switch on the first foot of the 20 foot cord. These are not sound-proof headphones like the Bose kind, but they do a good job of keeping outside noise outside.
The Scoop!
I love these headphones and would totally purchase them again. For $22.00, I am really impressed with their quality and think they would make a great gift.
