Philips Senseo HD7810/95 5-Cup Coffee Maker Review Summary

Coffee makers come in many sizes with some brewing only a single cup and others brewing up to twelve cups or more at one time. If you’re the type who prefers finding a middle ground then you might want to consider the Phillips Senseo HD7810/95 5- Cup Coffee Maker. This coffee maker produces up to five cups of java at once and reviewers like it for its speed of brewing and stylish design. The Phillips Senseo HD7810/95 5- Cup Coffee Maker makes a “Great Cup of Coffee any Time of Day or Night”, but some reviewers point out that the use of coffee pods is a disadvantage because they are more troublesome to find and the size of the Phillips Senseo HD7810/95 5- Cup Coffe Maker is quite large. But overall, most reviewers consider the Phillips Senseo HD7810/95 5- Cup Coffee Maker a pretty good Coffee Maker option for those who want their coffee brewed quickly and pre- measured accuracy.

This is the best coffee maker ever!  We use it in conjunction with the Senseo Pods (about $3.50 for 10) and the coffee is delish!  It even creates a foamy top on the coffee to give it the cappucino effect.  We previously owned a different brand of Pod machine and this one takes the cake by far. ...

Although my husband and I are total coffee snobs, neither of us can make a good pot of coffee to save our lives.  He doesn't measure and it comes out like mud and I just can't seem to make a pot of coffee that tastes good.  I follow the directions, I use fresh coffee, but still it just tastes awful. ...

I received a referral from a friend to sign up for a free coffee pod brewing system.  I signed up and received the pot with just paying a small shipping and handling fee. Thought it would be great for traveling when places may not have a coffee pot available.

I tried the system when I first received it. The instructions for initial set up were very clear and concise. I find myself keeping the pot on the ready for a great cup of fresh brewed coffee anytime of day or night that urge hits me.

Tea and hot chocolate may also be brewed with the pod system.

I am very very pleased with mine and would...

The Senseo Coffee System is more of an evolution in coffee enjoyment than a revolution in coffee enjoyment as the Philips company that markets it claims. In a nutshell the Senseo is quick and easy to use - and the coffee is not bad either. How did I come the sensation "many Europeans have experienced for themselves"? My mother gave me one as a present. She had experienced the sensation while visiting a friend and thought it would be a good appliance for me to use because I desperately need coffee in the morning and I hate cleaning the coffee pot between uses. Mom also thinks I spend way too... review »

When I heard about the chance to get one of these gadgets for free I jumped at the chance.  When my husband & I first got married we used to get up every morning, brew a whole pot of coffee and drink the whole thing between the two of us.  As we've gotten older we've both cut down.  Partially for health reasons and partially because I've been pregnant and or nursing a baby for most of the past 4 years.  My husband gets coffee at work and I don't want to drink a whole pot.

This device is PERFECT for us!  I love that I can make my coffee as strong or weak as I want/need it and everyone can have...

The Senseo coffee maker makes good coffee, "two cups" at a time. Trouble is, these are small cups of coffee. For a respectable mug of coffee, you have to place one big mug under both spouts for a double portion. So it really only makes one cup at a time. The reservoir will fill to "5 cups" which is 2 and 1/2 cups of coffee. And, there's an internal reservoir where water sits. If you don't use the thing regularly, that water sits in there and stagnates. There is no way that I can figure out to drain that internal reservoir. You have to remember to flush the thing before making your coffee, which...

The Senseo Pod Coffee Maker makes the best cup of coffee because each cup is freshly brewed.  You can control the strength of each cup for individual tastes as well as the flavor by using different flavor pods.

My favorite Senseo Coffee Pods are the dark roast, but Senseo offers quite a few different pods online.  I've tried Decaf, Medium Roast, Paris, Irish and Vienna so far.  Each flavor was delicious.

For anyone who has a taste for good coffee, but is not able to brew it at home, this is the coffee maker for you.  I was never able to brew coffee at home, in a regular drip pot, so I used...

My husband says I like my Senseo because I got it for free ( it was sent to me in a survey). I know I love my Senseo because I am the only one in the house that drinks coffee, and it makes the whole coffe brewing task quick and easy, and still  manages to deliver a wonderful cup of coffee. Its easier to clean that the other pot, and I dont have to worry about measuring too much or too little coffee, because with the pods - its already done! I can make as many cups as I want each day, and if we have company or a party, I just make sure to put a bowl of pods on the counter, next to the sugar and...

This is a good machine to own if you are a coffee lover but don't want to brew a whole pot of coffee.  It's quick and easy to use with minimal clean up.  There are two settings for serving size: one cup or two cups.  One drawback, however, is that the single cup serving is only 4 oz.  I've found that you need to use the 2-cup setting to get a decent size cup of coffee.  Being able to use the single cup coffee pod (that's what they call the special little coffee "bags" needed with this machine) with the 2-cup setting makes up for this flaw.  The Senseo brand pods can be a bit pricey, but... review »

IHave you ever brewed a whole pot of coffee and wasted more than half of it? or by the time you got to your third cup the coffee was overbrewed tasted like mud? Well if you are one of those people that alway is throwing away most of the coffe you have brewed or if you drink your coffee slowly then this is the coffee maker for you, it is sleak and modern and looks great on the counter. it is economical and the Coffee great,  it is great for the one or two cup drinker. loved the flavors and richness of the coffee. there is no wasting coffee here. It is very easy to operate and the pods can be used...

I got the Senseo  from a promotion they were running. We are not regular coffee drinkers but don't mind drinking coffee 2-3 times a week. This machine is really good because you can make one oe two cups at a time and not waste the whole pot as in regular coffee machines - this happened a lot before .I will say that it is wonderful for people who do not drink coffee frequently to have the option of making as much whenever they need it only. The water heats up fast and the coffee is ready in minutes. The pods that are available are expensive but taste very good!! If you find them on sale in places... review »

Although I have used my Senseo coffee machine continuously at home, I use another brand at work that I like much better. The coffee for both machines is expensive but I feel that I get better coffee from the other brand. The advantage to Senseo is that I can buy the coffee in the grocery store and the other machine requires online ordering. The Senseo brand does have a conversion attachment that I have that allows me to use the better, more full-flavored coffees. Senseo is a simple machine that functions well and is attractive enough to leave on the kitchen counter! It is quick and efficient!... review »

The Senseo is colorful, cute and conceptually clever.  In practice, though, the machine is a little overpriced, as are the pods.  Flavor availability is getting greater, but the coffee is still lacking in backbone.  It has no strength and the pod idea, although clever and making clean-up a breeze, limits how much coffee (how strong) you can make your cup.  I'd trade mine if I could find a really decent coffeemaker that didn't cost $300.  I actually think next time I'm going for one of the coffee/cappuccino combo machines.

I recived this coffee maker like six months ago.. I was sceptal at first, How was this tiny thing to produce a good cup of hot coffee. I must say I was plesantly supprised. Most days I am the only one in the home that drinks coffee. Two cups a day or three at most. Making a full pot of coffee is out of the question for me. It seems rather wasteful. With this, you can stumble into the kitchen, throw a pod into the coffee maker and push the button.. dont forget your coffee mug first! In less then a min you have hot fresh coffee without any fuss!

I have been using Senseo for about eight months.  I love how quick and easy it is to make one cup of coffee in the morning.  For someone who only drinks one cup at a time, Senseo is a perfect solution.

I used the coffee pods that came with the Senseo and found that the coffee was a little too strong for my taste.  My solution was to purchase an attachment that lets you use your own coffee.  This is also a LOT less expensive than purchasing the coffee pods, which can be quite pricey.
