I do find this product to be handy and efficient. I bypass the pods and have an eco-pod so I can use my own coffee/espresso and that is not only more cost effective, but the coffee is even tastier too. — At first I thought the machine was slightly noisy but nowhere near as noisy as my espresso machine and it's for a few seconds so it's not an issue. Bottom line is the machine delivers excellent coffee, I'm not wasting an entire pot on just one coffee drinker in the house and I can still use my larger coffee maker for company. This is a very nice coffee machine I live it because its like going out for coffee and a fancy coffee house yet is in your home . I receieved my Senseo pod coffee machine through a promotion and got it for the cost of shipping only. I was hesitant to try out a new coffee maker and thought the use of a coffee "pod" was silly. I got my Senseo through a promotion on www.sharesenseo.com. I paid $15 for the machine, a pack of coffee pods, and coupons/pamphlets to share with friends. I received my Senseo Coffee Pot free a couple years ago during a promotion that Senseo was giving out. (They still have these promotions but often you have to pay fifteen dollars for shipping now.) Anyway, I took my pot home and tried it out and loved it! The coffee is fairly good and it makes the best foam ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got this machine for free! — Two years ago, the co. was runing a promotion to get people to switch from their old drip-style coffee makers to this sleek ultra-modern machine. — I decided that I wanted to try it. The most coffee I need on weekday mornings is one cup, just for me. Some weekends when I have guests I need more. I hate, hate, hate waste! And the first thing I noticed about the Phillips Senseo was that I never have to throw coffee out! AND, it doesn't sit there in the pot and get old. The coffee is great. Nice foam and flavor. I don't think it's that noisy, and the only time it ever leaked was when I forgot to pop the top down completely!! AND, I can find the pods in most stores now, for a good price. The Philips Senseo is a great coffee maker, if you have one or two coffee drinkers in the house. But if you have more than that, you should not get this coffee maker. This coffee maker makes one or two cups at a time. The coffee is smooth and frothy, almost like a capuchino. The coffee tastes fresh everytime. Although it does have it's set backs. For instance, the coffee maker is a little noisy. The cup jiggles a little when it is pouring the coffee into the cup. My friend has the same coffee maker and she said that her's leaked. I like the way that this coffee maker makes a cup of coffee using the pods because there is no messy coffee grounds to worry about. The coffee pods come in a lot of different varieties and that is great. What I do not like about the coffee maker is the price of the machine is a bit steep and the pods are a little high priced also. My main complaint is that it makes a 4 oz cup of coffee per pod and i do not know anyone that drinks only 4 oz at a time. I prefer my coffee in a mug so the other option is to use 2 pods and the 8 oz setting. You can go through a lot of pods this way and that…

I love this coffee maker. May not be practical for large groups, but a real treat for a single cup serving. The coffee is fresh, the strength is adjustable and the foam on top is wonderful. — The pods are a bit pricey, but much cheaper than a coffee shop. It is easy to use. The modern shape looks nice on the counter top. I have found that I prefer to use the 2-cup setting with a single pod to make the strength a bit weaker. I drink coffee for hours in the morning and also several hours at night. I have a tendency to be doing work, or other things like cleaning and tend to leave a regular coffee pot on for hours. I used to have stale, old coffee that had been sitting in the pot for hours. I wasted more coffee than I drank. What a waste of money. I got mine through the Senseo program also and for $15, it was a great investment. My husband and I aren't everyday coffee drinkers so this is perfect for us. he wakes up early and he can make his own cup and if I wake up later, I can still have a fresh cup. Yes, it is noisy but I can handle the sound for a few seconds. I have had the leaking problem but just once or twice and it's never a bad leak at all. — The pods ARE expensive. We purchased the Senseo online on a whim and WOW were we impressed. This machine while a bit noisy makes the best cup of coffee I've ever had, and with the different pods you can choose from several different strengths and flavors.
