Really awesome shaver

4

i bought this shaver because my braun 5 series stop charging completely. i have owned 2 braun, 1 panasonic, and 1 philips before this one, and this is the best one that i have ever owned even thought it wasn't the most expensive one. it gives a very close shave and i can shave in the shower. I love the look, and the design. its charging time is only 1 hour and it lasts me almost 3 weeks before i have to charge it again.( i shave once every three days). at first, i use this with shaving cream, but one time i used it with Nivea face wash for men, and to my surprise....it works just as well...so now, i don't even buy shaving cream any more....just shave in the shower and wash my face right after...get 2 things done at once. another thing that i like about this shaver is that you can't really press hard against your skin....its weird how they designed it....no matter how hard i press it against my face or neck, i just can't feel the pressure and yet it shaves clean...its a good thing that you can't press hard against your skin, because with my previous shaver, i tend to press hard and get some skin burn after the shave....so this product completely eliminated that problem for me....cleaning is so easy, after the shave, just pop open the blade cover and run both parts under water...and its as clean as the first time you use it....so i don't suggest people to buy the more expensive model of this product( i think its senso touch 3D or something like that) because there is no need. this product's performance exceeds my expectation and its the best bang for the buck.

Philips Norelco Arcitec - Nice but not nice enough

3

I researched this shaving quite a bit before purchasing from amazon.com (really good price at the time too) I got it because I don't like using razors as they tend to cut me and my Braun has difficulty getting my neck, especially under the chin. So, I purchased the Arcitec. Beautiful design, looks and feels like a quality piece of machinery. Charged her up, took her to the beard! And what do ya know it takes out the hair on the cheek and upper lip area at least twice as well as my Braun. I'm excited, feels like me and the Arcitec are going to have a long and happy life together. But no... we get to the age old neckline, the bane of my shaving existence! First pass, it's shaving but hairs still stayin, 2nd pass, it's kinda shaving and hairs still stayin, 3rd pass, im pushing and hair is still stayin. Now I read up on it so I was well aware not to push hard, but basically I couldn't shave there with it so I had to use the Braun to finish up. Cmon! The Braun!? costs me 1/3 the price of the Arcitec if not cheaper and can handle the neck better? I didn't buy it to use two shavers per a shave! So I tried it the next few days wet and dry with the same results (although with wet I couldn't follow with the braun but had to use a razer) I end up giving it to a friend who needs a razor. He pushes too hard and has a major break out on his face, ends up having to skip shaving for a few weeks and gives it back to me. So now... if I want a good cheek shave I'll go to the Arcitec but unless I can find some great way to take out the neck with it... it's pretty useless as a solo shaver. That's my experience anyways; and I have pretty light facial hair.

Pretty nice shave overall

The Philips Norelco Arcitec 1050CC Electric Shaver is a nice electric razor, that gives a decent shave. However I have found it requires frequent cleaning, and the blades don't stay on great. It offers a close and nice shave leaving your face feeling smooth. But, some areas of the face may require several passes to achieve the maximum smooth desired result though. I find that it it shaves just like the other cheaper models of Norelco and may not be the best bang for your buck considering it does have a high retail price. You could just save some money and just go purchase a cheaper model that will give you pretty much the same results as this razor.  In my opinion, a less expensive Norelco model will provide you with just as good a shave as this model. But, if you insist having the newest, most expensive product then by all means, go out and get one, but you might not be completely satisfied. It all depends on your personal needs and desire for a clean shave. I'm sure some will find this the ultimate razor, but unfortunately I didn't.

Excellent Product

The Philips Norelco Arcitec 1050CC Electric Shaver is a very excellent product. It always gets a smooth shave and its something you can always rely on. It is very long lasting. But the most important thing people always look for is if you will get a smooth shave, and with this product the answer is a big yes. Not only smooth, but anyone can say, very smooth. The negative part of this is, that it can get very expensive, but also depends on the location that you live in. It is also kind of bulky, but that depends on how you really want to look at it. To refill your blade, this can also get very pricey. So it all depends on what you look for in your razer. For any first time user, this will be a joy using it, because it will get your job done, yes it is pricey, but it will get it done, not only that, very smoothly. I recommend this to everyone who needs a great shave and for fast great results.

This Philips product with pivot heads electric razor gives nice and clean shave. This can be effectively used on dry/wet shave. Considering its high price it doesn't outplay its competitors with that price range.

Almost as good as it gets

I have had this razor for about three years now and love it as much as the day I first bought it. Actually it was given to me as a gift. I have used it daily for all that time and love the shave it gives. I must say that it is not one pass over my beard to get is close, but it does do the job well. I have only used tripple head shavers for most of my life and am hooked. As far as tripple head shavers go, this is the best I have used. I have looked at the higher level models and am not impressed with all the added bells and whistles. This one is fine, you turn it on, it cuts. Who needs to know if there is extended battery life or how much battery life is left or anything else that the more expensive models tell you. I see no need to spend more money for essentially the same shave as this model. You will not be dissapointed with this razor if you buy it. It cost a bit more then the cheapy model tripple head razors, but it is a big improvement.

Norelco Arcitec for sensitive skin is best

This Philips Norelco shaver is the one my husband needed for his sensitive skin that would not burn or irritate once he was done shaving. He likes the pivot heads and the easy to clean heads that you can get wet and clean just by blowing away the water and shaves. It is worth paying a bit of extra money for a nice shaver like this one because it does cut close and even and does not irritate or bruise the skin surface. Some men would really like this if they have to shave twice per day. It does travel easily in its plastic protected case and since it is cordless and rechargeable you can go for several days without charging to use while on the road. Do consider getting your husband one gift that he will really enjoy. The easy on and off switch is centrally located so that you can turn on and off when you need to and not have to turn over to the other side to see where the switch is located.

Not only a man's razor!

I saw this on TV and though, I HAVE to have it to shave my legs, It works wonderfully, a close shave everytime, easy to clean there isn't anything for the hair to get caught in, so a quick rinse is all you really need. The pivot of the head is great for around the knees, Doesn't feel like it is going to cut you in anyway, and it doesn't miss hairs around the bends of your legs,  It makes shaving quick and fast, and feels amazing. I originally bought it for my boyfriend, but electric razors for some reason make his face break out in a rash, so he tried it once, and hasn't used it since.I have used it many times and would recommend it to woman who don't have a lot of time.  I have 2 kids under 2 in the house and rarely do I get more than 5 minutes to myself, this is the perfect tool. I like that it isn't intimidating looking either, some electric razors look big and "manly" and I feel like I have to be very careful if I used them.

It has 3 independent flexing rotary heads. It has a 360 degree motion range for a smooth shave. It is faster & does a closer shave than its counterparts. The stainless steel blade gives an ultra close shave. It lifts the hair to give a much closer shave. Ultra slim ergonimic body for a fine grip. Precision cutting for shaving shorter stubbles. It also has an electronic on-off switch. It gives you a cord free shaving as the battery when fully charged gives you 65 minutes of shaving. It also recharges to full battery strength within one hour's time. display features has battery full and charging indicators, cleaning and shaving ihead replacement indicators. It has a three minute quick charge for a quick shave. carry it anywhere around the world as it has automatic worldwide voltage. It also comes with a protective cap so that the blades are protected as well as your fingers. :) Its very light weight so does not take much of packing space.   I think its a great buy.
