I charged my unit and had less than 10 minutes use before it failed. Will not hold charge. I thought this unit would be good since it is Norelco. I guess all brands at times will have junk on the market.Save your money - do not buy. I repeat - Do not buy this junk.

Norelco knows how to take your hair off electricaly, from there shavers to this bodygroomer. Norelco does shave as close as a real blade. I use the shaver for face and this bodygroomer every where else, and it does the job. Im like an ape with out it. Works well in the shower also.

I bought the Norelco BodyGroom mainly because I thought their promotional website was hilarious. If you haven't visited www.shaveeverywhere.com, please do. Anyway, it is very reasonably priced, and very effective. I don't use it on a very regular basis, but maybe once a month or so. I find that it is best when used dry, before a shower. After the shower, apply moisturizer to the newly trimmed areas and all should be fine. It provides a very nice, even look, so you don't look crazily groomed, but everything is just a little neater.

Bodygroom is a brutal shave

The Norelco Bodygroom is the worst rechargable shaver I have owned.  Originally purchased for it's marketed versatility, and wet/dry capabilities I thought i had found the perfect rechargable razor.  The razor is atttractively designed and easy to use. Except that it pulls hair.  It pulls facial hair, body hair, any hair.  The shave is poor at best but the pain level associated with the razor leaves it unusable.  I thought I may have purchased a defective unit at first, so I exchanged it for another but the second razor produced the same results.  The pulling was acheived whether wet or dry, with or without attachments.  With the exclusion of the pulled hair the razor was acttually pretty nice.  It charged quickly, stayed charged for a long time.  The cost was competitive, the attachments fit well, the design was ergonomic.  But a razor's soul purpose is to provide a shave, this razor failed.

Excellent face shaver

My roomate loved to use this on his body as it was his, but I kept it strictly to my face. This is the best electric face shave I have ever received! the cylindrical head really keeps to your face. After a couple passes I was able to get a pretty smooth shave, and so much faster than regular razors. Trust me, it is worth it, especially if you have little facial hair like I do. It works on head hair very well too. I used it to shave the head of an asian friend of mine, and it went through it like butter! Smooth smooth smooth. It lacks irritation to the skin, so you can use it over and over again! It looks sleek and sharp with it's nice chrome finish. The little holes fit your hairs very well and the black body and blue holder look great. The button to turn the unit on works okay. I think it could use a finer touch, but it is hard to fault the entire prodcut for such a minor thing. I love this product.

Bodygroom Makes the Cut.....yet just barely.

If you or your guy is an offspring of Sasquatch, the Philips Norelco Bodygroom BG2020 Electric Shaver may not be the best best to trim and groom such an abundance of overall body hair.  If your body hair levels are reasonably modest, and you really only care to do basic hair trimming and body grooming, instead of being completely shaved smooth, then this Bodygroom will likely be for you. I was able to score mine at almost 50% off on sale along with a coupon from the Sunday paper, making this a relatively inexpensive addition to my body grooming arsenal of tools and gadgets used in my ongoing quest to manscaping excellence. My only issue with this Bodygroomer is it did not provide me with the smoothest or closest of shaves. I tried numerous times to get a really close smooth shave after trimming and manscaping, yet had to do repeat performances in the same areas several times before this Bodygroomer could come close to producing a somewhat close and smooth shave. If you only desire to trim your body hair, then you'll likely be pleased by the overall results produced by this razor and it's several hair trimming attachments. - The Philips Bodygroom BG2020 Electric Shaver earns a Rating of 3 stars overall. - Provides decent quality body grooming with several hair trimming attachments. - Sold at many retail and drugstores, including online stores, at fairly reasonable prices. - If you desire a really close, smooth manscaping "one pass" shave, you'll need to do repeat passes over the same areas for this razor to produce the smooth results you seek.

I'm torn on whether or not to recommend this body groomer. I believe it was the first body groomer to appear on the market a few years ago. Since then, there have been vast improvements in ergonomics and cutting technology. However, at the time this product was initially released, it was the only product to choose from. As all males in the mid 90s I began manscaping. I have no idea how the trend was started, only that I became part of that trend. I used the Norelco Bodygroomer for many years before it finally died. The product comes with a few detachable plastic pieces for trimming the hair different lengths. I never used those so I can't speak as to the effectiveness of them. However, I have used the Bodygroomer extensively on almost every part of my body. It works as advertised. Additionally, the Bodygroomer comes with a recharging dock which is a nice feature. However, the dock does not hold the attachments for the product which would've been nice. The reason I gave it only 3 stars is that my first Bodygroomer died within a matter of months. I think that the battery in this product is questionable.

I don't have a lot of time in the bathroom these days with my precocious toddler. But shaving my bikini line is a must! This was originally my husband's trimmer that he used on his goatee, but I stole it when I saw that it would be able to trim up my problem areas without the threat of razor burn. This little gadget is great! I love how it trims the hair without pinching my skin or pulling the hair too tightly, problems I've had with other razors. I will say, the charge dies out pretty quickly though, especially if you let the battery drain out completely one too many times!

Norelco BodyGroom is not just for men.

I have had a BodyGroom for over a year. I have trouble with razor burn in those sensitive areas, probably because I am a redhead. I bought the BodyGroom because it seemed to be the best value for money. I have never used the attachment, but I am sure that men would find it helpful. I use it primarily for underarms and random trims elsewhere. I do not have a problem with razor burn with it and I am able to use it every other day since the trim is close enough. The best part is that the charge lasts for weeks as long as you do not use it every day.

I bought this for my boyfirend, but I also use it on myself. It does a really nice job on both of us and we have never been cut yet. Girls, get this for your man! They expect us to shave, so why shouldn't they return the favor!
