I have owned this model of Norelco Electric razor for about 3 months now and I do like it a lot.  I have always owned Norelco Electric Razors and this model was not a disappointment.  It has many pluses over my previous razor and a few things that I am not fond of too.  First of all, the pros:  this razor is very easy to hold and move over your face; it is very very quite, which is nice when you are trying not to wake someone else up when shaving early in the morning; I like the fact that is shows when the battery needs to be charged; it does not pull the hair, but has a very clean and close shave for an electric razor.  Now for the things that I am not too fond of:  while it has a closer and cleaner shave than my previous razor, it does not get all of the hair as easily - I frequently have to go over the same spot many many times to get all of the stubble; and another con that isn't terrible, but just irritates me, is that the light flashes when the battery is full - so at night, in a bathroom attached to our bedroom, you can see the flashing light - just a little annoying.  Overall, though, I would recommend this product.

My husband told me to write this review of the Philips Norelco shaver based on his comments. His general impression of this shaver can best be described with one word-- WOW!! That is how much he enjoys and appreciates this shaver. No more demon Sweeney Todd-type of shavers for him. He absolutely loves the way the shaver rolls around the contours of his face with little effort. The result is a clean, smooth shave that does not result in a 'razor burn' feeling. The shaver can be used both wet and dry. Philips Norelco shaver has definitely one-upped the science of shaving to a whole other level. Men will no longer have to dread the onerous task of shaving if they own a Philips Norelco shaver. Despite its sleek and space-aged design, it is very easy to use, easy to handle, and its battery has a generous charging capacity. Another great find from Viewpoints reviewers and another good product made by a dependable manufacturer.

My husband received the Philips Norelco 7810XL this Christmas from his mother. He was looking forward to a new electric razor, as the one he was using previously belonged to his grandfather and is seventeen years old and we thought that anything would be better than that! (For comparison, the razor he was using previously was the Philips Norelco 885RX, and we have no idea when the razors in it were last changed, but we have never changed them.) The quality of the Norelco 7810XL does not seem to be as nice as the older model, and while it is lighter weight, it feels like it is made cheaply. When you turn the 7810XL on, it doesn't feel like it has half the power or cutting capacity of the older model (885RX). It also does not shave as closely. The other disappointing thing is the cost of replacement heads. At the cost of the replacement heads, you may as well just replace the entire razor itself.

I got this as a birthday present and it was just average. It does the job on my face and gets the hair and doesn't leave any irtation. The problem is with the neck area, its not as great. It misses hair or doesn't cut as well, so I have to use a backup standard razor to get that area. I take it traveling all the time and it has lasted plenty of trips so durability is there, just wish the blades were little sharper. It easy to clean just run it under hot water. And can usually use it for two weeks without having to recharge it.

over all i think the Phillips Norelco Electric Shaver is great, after using i realize how close of a shave it give that i have not found using any other electric razor, as in not getting as close of a shave as with this one. Another thing that i liked about the razor is that is soft on your face and not rough and it did not ever leave a razor burn even when minimal shaving cream has been used. The one thing that i did not really like about the electric razor is its weight, i would like to see this electric razor a bit just a bit lighter in weight. It seemed that before i was finished shaving my wrist would be tired from holding the electric razor in my hand. But on a positive note the Phillips Norelco Electric Shaver is a great value for a great price, it is the cheapest out there, but it is a Reasonable priced electric shaver esp for the quality and getting such a clean shave. I would definitely recommend this shaver to everyone i know and love for sure!!!

I thought that maybe it really didn't matter what brand I got. I was sure that i should just go out and buy the cheapest one or the one that maybe was on sale. That is how I pick out most of my products. But I was not sure about this. I used to just do that with * but I was not getting the results that I wanted to get. So this time I went to the store and by the time i got home I knew that i was in trouble. So I had gotten my husband the cheap brand. It didn't work as well. As soon as we plugged it in I decided to take it back and the the Philips Norelco 7810XL Electric Shaver. my husband was so very extremely excited when i got home. He shaved right away. he used to only shave 1 time per week or maybe 1 time per week and a half. but now he shaves a lot more. he thinks it is so easy to use and so comfortable on his skin. I agree b/c now when ever i kiss him i know that i am kissing him and not his face stubby that is normally there. i am so satisified with this product and i didn't even buy it on sale

I bought this shaver for my husband a few months ago and it has been great. I haven't heard one complaint of it not shaving well, or the blades dulling to quickly. It fits well into luggage and holds a charge as long as it say its will.  Plus it is super easy to clean. Replacement blades are a little on the expensive side but worth every penny! Overall a good purchase.

I purchased this item for my husband, who is in the army, while he was serving in Iraq. He really loved how well it shaved, and was very satisisfied with the item. Many of his electronic items "died" in Iraq because of the massive amounts of dust. So, many of his items were ruined and needed to be replaced after he returned from Iraq. This razor was not one of those items! It is still shaving strong. He really enjoys the flexible heads, and says that it is such a great time saver in the morning. The only thing we really do not enjoy is the cost of replacement bades. They are very pricy and he has to replace them once every three months. Other than the cost of the replacement blades, this is such a great buy! My husband never uses a traditional razor anymore!

I am using Philips Norelco 7810XL Electric Shaver** **for last one and a half months. Previously, I was using another kind of Electric Shaver, which was also of a reputed brand. I was happy with tha shavor but sometimes I also became unhappy with the quality of shaving with that razor. Many times when I had to rush for some work or even for a party, I had to shave hurridly and at those times my previous shavor did not satisfy me in quality work. It was not cleaning the area completely.  Luckily then I got Philips Norelco 7810XL Electric Shaver**.** One of my friend had bought this shavor and he told me about it. Now, I am using it regularly and I can see the clear difference in the peformance of both the shavors.. I am fully satisfied with the product. I can also recommend this electric shavor to my friends and also to my family members.
