Philips HTS-6500/37 Theater System Reviews

The  Phillips DVD Home Theater system HTS6500 is a wonderful surround sound system I'm very happy with it .

First ,I would like to say that I am not really fond of these things, the other units we had looked ugly with all the speakers everywhere and cords running here and there .I also thought that it made music and background sounds loud while the spoken words were lower and It was always hard to hear the actors while the music blasted you out of the room .

However our new Vizio HDTV that we love seems to have poor sound on some channels so my husband talked me into Yet another surround sound...

We bought this system on impluse as we'd been having problems with our old surround system having too many parts/pieces.  This one unit is a dream.

Terrific sound with easy controls make this system the best when paired with the TV, multi-CD player, and the cable box.

 The only complaint I have is that the buttons on the remote are too small and aren't laid out well. Also, with the complex operation of the different functions, finding a universal remote is impossible.  And I couldn't get the box to work with our TV remote for a one remote system.

Yes, the remote situation is a bit awkward, but...
