Philips HTS-6500/37 Theater System Review

The  Phillips DVD Home Theater system HTS6500 is a wonderful surround sound system I'm very happy with it .

First ,I would like to say that I am not really fond of these things, the other units we had looked ugly with all the speakers everywhere and cords running here and there .I also thought that it made music and background sounds loud while the spoken words were lower and It was always hard to hear the actors while the music blasted you out of the room .

However our new Vizio HDTV that we love seems to have poor sound on some channels so my husband talked me into Yet another surround sound system and I'm very pleased with it .

I love the fact it only has 2 speakers and 1 subwoofer that does a wonderful job with way less unsightly clutter.

The unit also give you so much better sound and the voices are as clear as the background music, this is great because I like being able to hear the actors speaking as well as music that does not blow me out of the room .

The DVD player is perfect with a disc SLOT not a slide out drawer. It can play discs in Dvd, compact disc supervideo, VCDs, DVD-R, MP3 playback, DIVX,   windows media JPEG, and other media discs.

Also if you look at other reviews you will see that this unit is rated better than the way expensive Bose systems.

You can connect a HDMI video cabel (not included) to make the picture as clear as if a standard DVD was a special HDDVD or blue ray .

I even understand you can do karaoke on this thing if you want to .

MY Viewpoint 

 This is a wonderful system that is decor friendly ,easy to install ,and has the best sound of any other I have heard to date.oh and its only 269.00 at wal-mart
