We have fans with light kits throughout our home. These DuraMax light bulbs claim to last one and one half years from the time of installation. They seem to last much longer than that. These bulbs are clear. My only con with these bulbs is that I prefer the white bulbs as they are easier on the eyes. I also find that when we use the clear bulbs, we don't utlilize all four bulbs in the sockets because the lights are so bright. That might be a good thing because we use less light bulbs. There are times when the bright light is appreciated as well as times when the more subdued lighting is wanted. Either way, Phillips DuraMax is a trusted brand for lighting. The bulbs are vibration resistant and do not come loose from the socket. These bulbs can be purchased most anywhere lighting is sold. I believe I purchased these at Walmart. My advice to anyone contemplating a purchase such as this would be to decide what your particular needs are for your lighting in your home.
