I got one of these for around 40 bucks, and now I can watch all my regular DVDs in Hi-Def. The images and sound are crystal clear. You won't get a better picture from a more expensive unit; HD is HD is HD. Keep in mind, you WILL have to buy an HDMI cable as there is not one included, but once you do, you're all set. Don't let the movie studios fool you into thinking you have to buy all your movies again in Blu-Ray or whatever. My TV verifies that I am indeed receiving a true 1080i HD signal, and that's as good as you're gonna get. And the review that said there is no fast forward is WRONG. It's the little > button to the right of the "OK" button. This player may be cheap, but it does everything right, and the picture and sound via HDMI are breathtaking. Enjoy the show!
