Great Avent pump

Comments about Philips AVENT Manual breast pump Out and about set:

This is a wonderful pump.  I have been using mine for nine months now and plan to use it for a few more.  I have to be away from my baby three times a week for a few hours and this allows me to pump while I am away so I can keep up my supply.  It is a little time consuming, it takes about 20 minutes for me to relieve both sides but it does the job.  Because I was only going to be away from my baby a few times a week I did not want to spend the money up front on a more expensive pump and I am glad I didn’t.  This pump is easy to store in my purse and it is quiet when I pump, not loud like some pumps I have seen.  This manual pump is easy to take apart to clean and then put back together.  You pump directly into a bottle so all you need to do is put a lid on and you can use it or you can empty the milk into freezer bags to freeze.  I highly recommend this pump to mom’s who only see themselves pumping once in awhile.

I take it with me everywhere

Comments about Philips AVENT Manual breast pump Out and about set:

For someone who is always on the go, i would definitely recommend this. i have the Avent Isis Duo electric pump at home, but it was too hard to take it places, find an outlet, set up, then try to relax enough to pump. A friend recommended i try this manual set since i could use all of the pieces and bottles i already had. Now this practically stays in my bag all the time. i use it exclusively at work. since it comes with to sets of the inside pieces, i have two pumps ready to go for when i have my breaks at work. I can put it all together at home and have it ready to pump in 10seconds. Its very comfortable to me. you control the pressure the whole time. The bag is also a cooler, so when youre done pumping you can put it right in the bag until you get home. It is easy to clean, although the piece that goes between the actual pump and the milk container is very small, and can be easy to loose. i try to keep it out of the sink until i'm ready to wash it and put it back the pump right away.

simple and comfortable for the breastfeeding mom

Comments about Philips AVENT Manual breast pump Out and about set:

I actually bought this pump as a back up for my more expensive electric breast pump. I did not expect to use it very often but wanted to have the option of something more portable. After the first time I used it, I did not want to go back to the electric pump! It was very comfortable to use and worked fairly quickly too. It is easy to take apart and clean and stores well in the enclosed bag. I love the accesories that it came with including the bottles and extra parts. I don't have to worry as much about losing the smaller parts. Now I use this more often than my electric pump. It is nice to not have to worry about having access to an electric outlet or to have to watch to make sure my baby is getting near the cord. If you use the avent bottles, than this is defintely the pump for you as you can just take the bottle right off the pump and store it in the fridge until feeding time when you can attach the nipple top. Great value

My avent breast pump is the best manual pump out there

By

Comments about Philips AVENT Manual breast pump Out and about set:

I had a hard time justifying spending the big chunk of change it was going to cost to buy a nice electric pump.  We had a child in the nicu so for my first baby I got used to the nice hospital grade pumps.  After my baby came home it was hard to "downgrade" to the cheap little pump I bought at the time.  I was frustrated that it was so complicated, but needed the option to occasionally have a pump.  For my second baby I found this pump and was very surprised at how much I liked it for a manual pump.  The only cons would probably be all the small pieces, but once you figure out how to put it together it's not as complicated as it first seems.  Let's be honest, pumping in and of itself is complicated, and for me not an enjoyable process, but occasionally it's necessary, and this one is the best manual pump I've found.  If you are a working mom, and need to pump frequently I would definitely invest in a real pump, but this has been the perfect alternative for someone like me, who only pumps occasionally.
