The knife is supposed to be stainless steel but is rusting. It never sits in water or damp places.

I bought an 18 piece set that includes steak knives,a steel and cheese knives for under 20.00 at JC Pennys 23 yrs ago. It came with 1 free small chief knife. I love it. It has everything I need. The only problem I've had is keeping them as sharp as I want.
