These pacifiers are every parents lifesaver

I give my baby her pacifier to soothe her and for bed time and I really like how convenient these are because they glow. For the first time in my life i'm not running to the store every week replacing pacifiers that have gone missing around my house and outside, and it feels so good. These bad boys are bright green in the dark which is great because my baby can find it on her own at night too. The only thing I don't like is that the nipples seem to have an open gap that allows water to get trapped inside which then stains it.

Thank goodness for the Avent brand!!

My son started out using Soothies because those were the only pacifiers that he would take. By the time that he was 4 months old, he completely refused Soothies, so we quickly scrambled to find another pacifier. Thank goodness that we found these. My son loves them. He's now 9 months old and still enjoys them. He loves the handle because it makes them easier for him to grasp. I also like the handles on these because they make pacifier clips a bit easier to use than on the Soothies. They're durable enough for a teething infant who is constantly gnawing on everything (I check the pacifiers before I give them to him to make sure that the nipple isn't stretching or weakening). Because of his teething, my son seems to like the wider, flatter design of these pacifiers compared to the Soothies' round shape. I also like that these pacifiers come with a case to keep them clean when my son isn't using them. These are great pacifiers, and we're absolutely satisfied with them!

Great, especially if you use the Avent bottles too!

These pacifiers are great, especially if you use the Avent bottles too. Sometimes, when my little one would finish a bottle of milk, she would still want to suckle on something. She used to just continue sucking on the bottle, but that caused unpleasant gas. Replacing the bottle with this pacifier once the bottle was empty worked great though. These are also pretty cute!

Been using since day one - with both girls

I don't remember where we got it. Might have been one of those sampler bags you get at the hospital, we used it the first day...and both my girls love it. They won't take any other pacifier. Admittedly, the 3 yo still uses one in bed and our 1 yo uses her in bed and during the day. They work and they're durable.

My grand-daughter had problems sucking at first so we tried a variety of pacifiers to stimulate her sucking action. The "orthodontic" fit worked pretty well and she didn't choke like she did on some, but still I can't say they were the best. They are a bit hard. The attachment holder is good. it holds their brand or any generic holder so the pacifier can attach to the baby's outfit and or course, doesn't go flying on the floor. The ages as stated on the package are pretty accurate. When she was a newborn, the 3-6 month was way too big for her mouth, as I would think it would be for most. I certainly wouldn't recommend for very small infants with very little mouths. One thing I did notice about this pacifier that I didn't like was the "plastic smell". Although it says it has no bad chemicals it did have an odd smell. We soaked it in vinegar water and then washed it thoroughly before letting her use it. Of course, I didn't like the packaging but it does have containers inside which is nice.

She Spit It In My Face Repeatedly!

I was fanatical about Avent when my daughter was born. I got the Avent Isis Manual Breast Pump, an entire stash of Avent bottles from the small ones to the large ones to the ones with disposable bags you can use in them. I was so convinced that Avent was the way to go that I also bought an Avent Orthodontic Pacifier because I was convinced that this was the way to go for my baby girl. My daughter stunned me completely when despite the amazing Avent Isis Manual Breast Pump being a dream to use, she rejected all forms of Avent bottles. I could not believe that she just didn't understand how good these were and how much money I had spent on them.....clearly she was unimpressed with the prestige. I opened up the Philips Avent Silicone Orthodontic Pacifier which was a clear silicone pacifier in the perfect shape and clear too. I was just positive she would see the error of her ways and understand just how good Avent was. I cleaned it well and made sure that it was safe for her to try out. Carefully and with great promise, I introduced my little baby girl to the wonderful silicone pacifier. I talked it up well and let her know just how valuable and exciting this new experience was going to be. She stared me in the eye as she took the pacifier in her mouth and with grand emphasis, she promptly spit it out in my face and laughed. I thought she was making it into a game. So I tried for an hour to get her to understand what a great brand this amazing pacifier was. She would stare me in the eye each time and reject the pacifier. For four months my daughter refused to take that pacifier no matter how much "bait and switch" I would try to do. She disliked anything Avent, including this pacifier. The only silicone pacifier she would take was Binky. I am rating this as poor not because there is anything wrong with it, but because it just didn't appeal to my daughter and I am not sure I can rate it higher than that. It didn't fall apart, it just made her recoil all of the time, just like their bottles did! Thankfully their breast pump was one of the best things I have ever used!

My son LOVES Avent pacifiers.

My son absolutely loves these. They are sort of pricey but usually have a selection that has animals on them for lower prices. For some reason the translucent ones are more expensive. The age ranges are very true for us and they work very well to soothe my baby. The only thing I don't like is that if you wash them in the sink with bottles that soap and water stays in the nipples and you have to squeeze it out.

Suck on this baby... Avent Brand binks

5

When I first had kids, I was a little hesitant to introduce a pacifier. There's lots of propaganda out there about avoiding them due to nipple confusion and what not. So with my oldest, I held off for a bit, until it became evident he needed something to suck on. Without a pacifier, that became me, which I was not really thrilled about. So out came the pacifiers we received at baby showers. One of my all-time favorites and most used was the Avent brand pacifiers. I had purchased and asked for Avent primarily because this was also the brand of baby bottles we choose to use. In this case the two are not horribly similar, but it really didn't matter. The Avent pacifiers are made with sturdy construction. Recently, I did have 2 of them break in the shield but this was after quite a bit of use. These binks consist of the plastic shield (BPA free) and the orthodontic nipple. All of Avent nipples are made from silicone. These also come in several different sizes to help match the size and sucking needs of the baby. Avent binks do come with a cover.. but honestly at some point after opening the package the covers quickly got lost. In the beginning, Avent only had a few choices for designs on their pacifiers. A few short years later, there's a wider array of styles available from this brand. Some of my favorites were the clear that have a colored center. The all clear ones are not favorable for night-time as they get lost very easily. Two of my three kiddos absolutely LOVED their Avent pacifiers (or Mi-Mi as my son would call it). If they are used too long they do start to interfere with mouth development. When my son at almost 2.5 years was still using his, the dentist knew that he was still sucking something by the way his mouth looked. Avent paci's are comparable to others I had checked out on the market, and my kids really liked them. This made them the binks of choice in this house.

Only one he would take!

I decided to use these pacifiers  after my son refused any other ones.  I was so glad that I did.  He is definately a little one that needs that sucking feeling at times to calm himself down.  I hate in some ways that he does need one because I hate the whole process of taking it away and I hate all the germs.   I love all the different designs and colors that they have.  They definately make it easy to spot them when you are having troubles finding one.  I love that they can soothe my son as soon as you put them in his mouth.  I realize that babies cry but sometimes that need to suck to soothe.  They are easy for him to grab now when they fall out of his mouth and he seems to be the one who always knows where they are!!  I would definately recommend these to anyone but really truly it is always up to the child as to wether or not they will take one.  My daughter didn't need one at all but my son sure does like these!!!

pacifiers save me

My baby is a little fussy during the night. When she cry we give her the pacifiers. I bought the **Avent Freeflow Pacifiers - 0-6 Months - Pack 4 for her. I love the avent freeflow because it permits some skin around the mouth in the air. I also use other brands of the pacifier. My daughter likeS this one best. This pacifier also comes with cover and you can put it with cover when it is not used. The shape of the pacifier is also perfect for a baby under 6 month. There is also the choice for 6-18 month. My baby can not have it during the night. The cons is that I do not know how to stop my baby using it when she grows up. She has to wake up at least once time to look for the pacifier :( Anyway if you need a pacifier to calm your fussy baby down, this is a good choice. **
