Phil and Ted's Sport Double Strollers Review Summary

The New Zeeland styling of the Phil and Ted’s Sport Double Stroller has captivated many of our reviewers. “Without being double wide or double long” the Phil and Ted’s Double Sport Stroller is described by reviewers as having a “sporty look” with “great maneuverability.” With “jump seat style seating,” Phil & Ted’s Sport Double has two modes of use. Remove the seat and use it for one or put the seat on and two can ride. Within the infant mode baby lies more flat and “sways with the motion of the stroller.” In this mode though there is minimal storage in the bottom basket. Some may question whether little ones will enjoy sitting in the rear position, but reviewers claim their toddlers enjoy the novelty of the seat. Reviewer strollerfreak states “I have found that my boys actually fight over who is going to sit back there.” One reviewer loved their Phil and Ted’s Double Stroller so much they state “I actually want to go walking and try to get some exercise with my nephews” Want to look at other double strollers? I purchased a lightly used Phil & Teds E3 Version 1 Single w/Doubles Kit from a friend in March 2004. I replaced my Safetech Double with this stroller as it was more adaptable and had more options & features, and I had gotten the "go ahead" from my husband for the funding should I sell my Safetech as... read full review »

I bought the Phil and Ted sport after much research.  I was very excited about the great design and thought that the short comming of limited storage would be more than offset by the great design.  I already had a Chariot double for use at home for frequent long walks and was looking for something...

When I became pregnant with my 2nd son I began researching double strollers. All were either too long or hard to steer.  I came across the Phil & Ted and fell in love with the idea of not committing to a double stroller.  By the time I'd have boy #2, boy #1 was already 2 years old and wanted to walk more than ride in his stroller.  So, this stroller was perfect.  When placed in the newborn position, the baby sways with the motion of the stroller.   And with the toddler seat attached up top, my first son has a better view since he's higher up than in a traditional single stroller.

Cons, no...

I have a 16 month old and a newborn. This stroller comfortably accomodates both without being "double wide" or "double long." Nice for exercise or shopping or anything else! Will grow with us as the babies grow. It is pricey, but worth it for quality. The company also offers a cool line of accessories to add to the stroller. My toddler even just likes sitting in it in the house! She begs to get in it!

The stroller is great and lightweight but the canvas on the body got damaged when we unfolded it. It got caught on the metal "hook" part. So be careful! The company said that was "wear and tear" and not a flaw in the design, so they did not offer to fix it.

As a mother of four (which include a 2 year old and a newborn), this is by far the best heavy duty stroller I've ever owned. The design is amazing. I first saw a Phil and Ted's double stroller at a children's museum and absolutely had to find out the brand, it is by far the most compact double stroller on the market. The look is sleek and so is the function, you don't feel like you need a "wide load" sign attached to it while you're running it down the sidewalk or between the aisles of a grocery store. The manueverability is excellent, you can turn it easily with one hand if needed, which... read full review »

I purchased the Phil & Ted's Sport Double Stroller in orange after having a couple of double strollers from other brands that were quite frustrating.  The double strollers that are the tandem style with one in front and one in back are not only impossible to maneuver, but they also take so much of your trunk.  Then the side by side double strollers barely fit through door ways and aisles.  I saw the Phil & Ted's stroller and thought that it looked like a neat concept.  I had a different way of putting the second seat on the stroller, and it had the front wheel that swiveled around for added...

After the birth of our third daughter we took a look outside in our garage at the myriad of strollers, a single, a double, a single jogger, a double jogger, and an umbrella stroller. We couldn't bear to part with any of the strollers because they all served such different functions but keeping so many strollers for our family size was a bit ridiculous. That is when we decided to get a Phil and Teds. We were able to sell all our strollers on craigslist and purchase the one stroller for only $50 (after selling the others). It is hands down the best baby purchase we have ever made. We are now expecting...

I recently purchased this stroller for the same reason most everyone does - I have two small children and I didn't want a wide side by side double or a bulky tandem stroller.

I used my Maclaren exclusively with my first child, but I wish that I had known about this stroller with my first born. It is the only stroller you need. I researched EVERYTHING before deciding on this stroller. It is lighweight to push, easy to fold, compact for being an all-terrain stroller, and well-made. The first con is that there is not much storage, especially with the second seat attached, and no cup holders. But that...

I bought the Phil and Ted's E3 Sport after doing a lot of research. I chose it because the size was easier to manuver around stores and other crowded places and could use it as a jogger. At first I thought that once my baby got older she would not want to be stuck in the back seat, but now she is 18 months and she fights with my three year old because they both want to sit in the back. It is great because they can't really mess with each other like they could sitting side by side. I also like the fact that now that my 3 year old is in preschool I can take off the backseat and it is a single stroller....

I bought the phil and ted's double stroller when my son was about 9 months old. I wasn't then and still aren't expecting our second but knew in the realitively near future we wanted a second baby. Our stand by graco was getting a little beat-up and needed replaced, I was looking for durability and versatility. The price was a litlte off-putting but I snagged one off Craigslist with accessories for a more reasonable price. I take this stroller everywhere now. My son loves riding in it and he has a great smooth roll that is easy to push on any surface. It can easily handle bumos and uneven terrain...

I bought this stroller not long after I found out I was pregnant with my 2nd child.  I got a lot of use actually using it as a double before he was even born as when I went out with friends we would just take my stoller.  I have the e3 version too and before the recall for this it did break my finger one time collapsing it not long after I got it.  After that I don't think I ever collapsed it  again, lol, I left it up and just put it in the back of my minivan.  My favorite use it for the mall as I am a shopaholic and it fits perfectly through all of the narrow shopping racks.  It also steers... read full review »

This is one of the best strollers out there. It can be a single stroller or a double stroller, you get to pick. My daughter really likes her stroller. The back seat is very easy to move and this stroller is very easy to push. It easily goes over cracks. I got the color lime green and it stands out in the crowd and is very easy to find. My daughter is not able to get out of the buckle. This stroller is easy to fold up and easily fits into my small car. I wish I would have gotten this stroller first so then I would not have to buy another stroller. This is the best stroller you can invest in. I just...

I have this stroller and I love it.  It is the best one I have ever had (I haven't had a whole lot but this is the best double stroller I have every bought).  I have three kids and I use this one a lot with the younger two!  Everyone I see comments on it about how cool it is...one on top and one on the bottom!  I am very impressed with the product and I would defidently recommend it to anyone.  It was a little pricey but it was well worth every penny I paid for it.  I like to have new modern looking things and this is for sure very modern looking!
