PitStop removes pit stains

4

I got a free sample of PitStop to try out and was excited at the thought that something may actually remove pit stains from clothes. To date, i've never found anything that actually does this, not even bleach. PitStop removed the pit stains in my husbands white undershirt (yes, his clothes were the guinea pig for this test). The old dirty stains were removed, which is fantastic, but it's sort of a pain in the butt to use. You have to spray the gel-ish like product on the stains, and let it sit for 15 - 20 minutes, and then wash it separately. I'm not one for separating whites and colors, so asking me to wash pit stained clothes separate from others is a big turn off for me. Additionally, you have to get the product on every inch of the pit stain. If you miss a spot, the pit stain remains. And the product doesn't spread out very easily so I found this difficult to do, and actually only knew about this requirement after treating, waiting, and then washing the shirt and ending up with white spots in the original pit stain. It was a great indicator of how well it worked, but it meant I had to treat the shirt again. Perhaps a full size bottle has an opening that would allow pouring the product on the stain versus the sample I received which has a spray nozzle and made application difficult. All in all, I would recommend this product because it does work, with just a little bit of effort. And I will probably have some of this on hand and put out the effort to clean up all the pit stained shirts currently in the household.

PitStop Stain Remover-ready to join the race?

3

When, I found out that I was on the list to receive this sample from Viewpoints, I was more than surprised.  My mind turned to - Is this what I think it is for?  Yes, it is for underarm stains.  And, then my dilemma: I don't have underarm stains, and had nobody to recruit.  I am not bragging, because when I was a young teen,  I did have that problem.  It was caused by the roll on deoderant.   Before reading anything about the product, I thought maybe, they were referring to a pit stop like in auto racing.  It would fix the problem and you could go on with your business. I do manage to drop food or create other stains on my clothing and other fabrics items.  As a result,  I do not have white clothing.  I used a white bed padding with a top layer of thin cotton for the testing.  I chose to produce stains hard to get out, and others that substituted for the human production of sweat.  I used Italian salad dressing, the ever so dangerous pomegranate juice, the ground in wet soil, the salty soy sauce, the grease from a salami, and oily spaghetti sauce, and olive oil straight from the bottle, and I almost forgot ground in coffee. I let some stains set in for days and some for a short while, like the salad dressing.  I did what they instructed, but left it in longer and scrubbed with the brush.  It did lighten all the stains, but some not enough.  I knew from experience, the best way would be to soak it,  before it entered any washing machine.  Stains not only have to be pre-treated, but on light colored material  or whites, do best soaking overnight.  So, I used the proper detergent, no bleach can have touched the surface previously.  It got better, but I was not about to have a stained mattress top pad and do many processes to get it right.  So, I mixed my own ingredients with it and soaked it for many hours, like I originally intended.  It took off almost all of the stains including the pen stains that  had bled from my markings of the stains.   The only two that did not come off entirely, were the soil, and the spaghetti sauce.  But, I am sure I can get that off in the  next wash.  So, talking about issues with the product.  The process involves waiting 15-20 minutes after laying on a cloth or towel.  Then, you have to  launder separately according to the garment's specifications, preferably in hot water.  For a lot of people, with this time frame and having to scrub with a brush, they may not bother.  They will just take it to the local laundry or dry cleaner.  If it is on the market as only a pit armpit stain remover, I know, I would not buy it, or even recommend it.  To do a more in depth study of stains, the sample was too small.  Because, I have no idea of the chemicals, I, therefore, became hesitant to work with it.  I am somebody who checks labels when I work with any household, or any other type of chemical.  I gave it a three star rating, because I have no idea whether it will work on armpit stains.  If they choose to test it  more, and give recommendations to the potential customer concerning a multitude of uses, the consumers may take another look.  But then, it would have to work in conjunction with other  products used in the cleaning of clothes.  I have some great products to use already, so maybe after more trial with the last bit of PitStop, I may find a use for it.  After all, I did not test machinery grease, and paint.   As, of now, until further notice, the verdict to recommend is still out.

Pit Stop Stain Remover Stops Those Unsightly Stains

4

Do you have ring around the collar? Do you have those unsightly armpit stains? This may be what your looking for to rid those nasty stains and save your clothing.  I received a sample of Pit Stop Stain Remover from our good friends at Viewpoints. It arrived and I received a 1 ounce bottle to try. A piece of paper came out of the box with the product. The paper had  washing instructions. This paper said: **Warning- Do not use on garmets that have been previously treated with bleach. Bleach will react with the proteins in the stain and make it permanent. ** I was determined to try this product that I never heard of and see if it actually would work. Only problem is I don't have clothes with those type of stains. Instant delemia.Ok, now what? Seeing as I was so gung-ho I decided to try something a bit different with this product. I had a tank top I loved but I had some small blueberry stains on it. Yes, blueberry. You know thats a hard to get out stain. I was upset when this happened. So now I figured why not try this Pit Stop Stain Remover and see if it would work on the blueberry spots that I had incurred. I followed the instructions laying my shirt on a towel.I then sprayed some on the spots on my shirt and rubbed my shirt together to work in this stain remover. Then I had to let it sit for 15-20 minuets. Next it said to wash seperatly in preferrably hot water. Ok, well, I wash in cold water here. I thought I would still go through and try this. When the washer stopped, I looked at that shirt. Would you believe that these spots are very hard to notice now. They are still there but so faint that you need to look harder to see them. I did not dry the shirt as I want to do it once more for these blueberry stains. I am suprised that it got so much of it out!  **Website info: Satisfaction is guaranteed or money back. No questions asked. Must send in unused portions and they don't reimburse for shipping costs. ** **This product is MADE IN THE USA. **Sample came from Pharmworks in Boca Raton, Florida.

PitStop Stain Remover works miracles!

5

I used the free sample of PitStop to clean several badly stained football uniforms from our sports organization that were returned in bad shape! PitStop got out almost all of the set-in stains with little trouble or effort on my part. I would definitely recommend this product to my friends/family and the entire Viewpoints community!

Pitstop Works Great!

4

I'm always a little hesitant when trying a new stain-remover.  So many of them are surrounded by so much hype and so many of them fail to deliver as promised.  With that in mind, when I tried Pitstop I kept my expectations low. I did like the bottle that I received. It made the product easy to apply to the stains without a lot of overspray like you often experience with the trigger sprayers, so there wasn't a lot of wasted product.  The directions on the bottle were straightforward and simple to follow.  The process is lengthy though and waiting 15-20 minutes for the product to start working seemed an inordinate amount of time to me.  I also found it disconcerting that I had to wash the items I had treated in a separate load.  Considering this was only 3 t-shirts, it wasn't very conservative on water. I wasn't crazy about the smell either, it reminded me of Iron-Out.  The product worked great on the items I did treat. Got the stains out without a problem!  I really wish you could use it on previously bleached clothing because I would be able to treat a lot of my husbands t-shirts and get rid of a lot of stains!  I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has problems with armpit stains.  It is worth the minor negatives to have clothing without those horrid yellow stains that you can never seem to get rid of completely with bleach.

Removed makeup stains

5

I received my pit remover from viewpoints. Unfortunately, I looked through my husbands shirts and I got rid of all the ones that had sweat stains. I won't know how well this works on that until I find a shirt with sweat stains. In the meantime, I had a shirt I wore over the holidays that had a ring on the collar from my makeup. I sprayed the remover on and washed as usual. I was impressed that the stain came right off. I have used other stain removers for this type of stain, so I can't say this was any better, but it did work the same as others I have used. I can't recommend this on pit stains, until I try it, but I would on normal, everday, stains.

Magic Stain Remover!

1. How well did PitStop remove perspiration stains?  I used this on my husbands shirts with under arm stains and it worked well getting them out! 2. How did it compare to other stain removers you have used before? I think it worked equal to other stain removers. 3. Did it work on any other types of stains? I tried PitStop on spit up from my infant and it helped with that, too. 4. Would you purchase PitStop Stain Remover again and recommend it to a friend? I would purchase PitStop over other products if the stain remover is competitive in price or had good coupons. At this point, I would recommend it to a friend.

Pit Stop is it!

I loved using pit stop.  I haven't really tried using any other stain removers because I didn't know they even made anything like pit stop.  I thought once the pit stain is there.....it's there.  I truely loved using this product.  It worked for me and I would definately buy this if I saw it in a store around where I live.
