A life saver for panic attacks

Xanax - generic name - alprazolam is a tranquilizer used for short term relief of anxiety disorders.  It is also used for people who have symptoms of anxiety and depression together.  Tolerance and dependence and the two major factors that make xanax a problem for many people.  Dependence is common causing many physicians to consider other medications as a first line defense.  When used properly xanax has a very calming and relaxing effect however the tendency for abuse is too high for me to approve the medication.
