Pfizer Neurontin —

Neurontin is an anti-seizure medication that is also used for neuralgia or nerve pain.  It has other uses but those are the most common.  It is widely used by physicians for treatment of nerve disorders caused by diabetes, post herpatic neuralgia - the after shock pain of shingles, and for many nerve disorders.  It was orginally developed as an anti-seizure medication but as with many medications other uses were soon discovered.  I took neurontin for 3 years for trigeminal neuralgia which is a very painful facial nerve disorder.  It worked well for me but the dosage can increase to many capsules per day that become frustrating to take.  I also found that it made me extremly hungry and I've lost 38 pounds since I stopped taking it a year ago.
