In my world, my cat is a part of the family. I decided it was best I purchased insurance for her because she is an older cat. I had PetsHealth Care Plan for a few years but recently got rid of it. It is an okay pet insurance but I would suggest looking at all of your available options. You need to carefully read the fine print and look for any loopholes because there are a few. Once you chose a plan you take your pet to a vet, file a claim, and then they reimburse you. I find that process a little annoying and time consuming. I only had to file a claim twice but it just took too long to get reimbursed. Overall, this insurance is okay but I think there are better options. Customer Service Their customer service is okay. The website is really simple and easy to navigate when you are looking for answers to your questions. You have the option of e-mailing or calling a customer service representative. I recommend calling them because the response time is quicker on the phone. Available Plans They have 4 different levels of protection. Make sure to carefully read the paperwork though!

I look at pet insurance as more of a necessity than an un-needed luxury. We have a total of two pets - Tommy and Charlie. It would be no stretch to say that they are as much my little boys as my biological children are. I have been fortunate in some ways concerning my pet's overall health but, I am so glad they are both covered. What I like about PetsHealth is that they are pretty reliable. The premium has not gone up in over 3 years and I am generally happy with the customer service. I have never been made to feel as if I was being brushed off when I encountered a problem. I do however believe that the telephone assistance is much more helpful than it is over the internet. The website itself - in my opinion, is not anything spectacular, it's actually almost too "basic" if you know what I mean. What I don't like about the company is that they offer reimbursement rather than outright coverage. This is where it gets complicated. If you are going to get this type of insurance then you need to really listen closely about the coverage specifics. Any lack of knowledge on your part can work out poorly for you. I have only had 2 incidents in 3 years and I have paid out more in insurance premium than I would have if I had just paid for treatment out of pocket. But, I have to at least admit that I feel much better having it and not really needing it than to need it and not have it. Customer Service Better to get it on the phone than the web Available Plans Moderate flexibility.

insurance for my pet

I decided to enroll my pet in the pet insurance.I was waiting and didn't do it until he became sick.I hoped that sickness will cover my vet bills but the agent told me that it counts like pre-existing condition and insurance will not cover it.Thanks to my vet,he didn't take a charge from me for a follow-up.But I decided to keep insurance for my pet since the premium was low,and I have some piece of mind

Pet Insurance - Like all insurance can save you money

Policies for pets comes with terms, deductibles and restrictions just like for their human owners insurance policies. These policies can be pricy however it gives peace of mind to a lot of pet owners. Pet's Best pet insurance has a easy to use website and you can get an instant quote. They give a outline of what is covered and what is not. Customer Service There are several companies that offer this type of insurance. Embrace has a easy to use web site and reported to pay claims quickly with no hassle. Available Plans I would recommend checking out the different companies that offer pet insurance and very carefully reading over what they will pay for and what they won't. some companies will include routine things while others are considered major issues only. Some of these companies have been around for over twenty years and some specialize in older pets and like their human counterpart you need to do some real comparisons to make sure you are getting what you want. Some cost more but not always cover more. I would strongly recommend to make a through checklist of each of the companies that I was considering. Then make a decision of "IF" I thought that I would be further ahead if I just paid the vet bill.

I purchased the PetsHealth Insuarance for the first time a while back and it has really come in handy. Pet insurance has to be the best idea for insurance in a long time. I can not believe somebody did not come up with this many years ago. I am very happy with my PetsHealth Insurance and am glad it is on here for review. If anyone has pets and loves them like I do you would pay whatever you could to make them better or to fix their injuries just like we would our children. I had a dog who needed to have an eye removed and it would have been thousands of dollars had I not had insurance but it was very cheap. Also, with PetsHealth Insurance you can get plans that inclued yearly exams of the dogs and rx's and other stuff. I would certainly say if you have a pet you love like a child you should invest in the PetsHealth Insurance. You will then be able to afford whatever you dog, cat or bird, etc. may need. Just check into it you want be dissapointed.

I actually had pet insurance  on all my pets with this company. You wind up paying more in deductibles before it even pans out to do any good for your pet.Not to mention alot of Vets dont want to fool with extra paper work and they get huffy about filling out the forms. Not much is covered even in the medicine department.Customer service they are not that friendly to answer all your questions or even answer them.I had trouble recieving payments that the insurance covered they took too long to pay back.If that isnt isnt enough you must show everything in complete detail and exactly what it is for before getting refunded. You may have to do this process a couple times before they will except it.

I have had Pet Inusrance for my 4 cat's for years now and it totally pays for itself, they each have their own plan and there own different benefits depending on what age they are, my senior cat is on the "senoir Plan" it is a little more costly but he is 15 years old, but he started on pet insurance when he was 9 years old and after the age of 10 it goes up about every 3 years but it is totally worth it escpeially for him, he has recently been diagnosed with hperthyroidism and the medications and the blood testing are very expensive. As for my other cats they are under 10 years old and they only cost me$20.00 per month and they are on the basic plan.  Every time my pet goes in for a checkup, the vet signs a form and puts down the treatment/diagnosis I make copies of everything and I then mail it off.  Within 4-6 weeks I receice a check in the mail at least giving me back a portion of what I paid, sometimes depending on treatment /diagnosis I get a very good portion back it is very rare that I do not ge anything back. Your pet must be signed on before a pre existing condition develops or you might not be accepted, but once your pet is on the insurance and a situation develops then you are covered.  I reccomend this to everyone!

After getting dog fixed, dump insurance as it is a waste

We bought this pet insurance 6 years back.  We had a bad experience with our first husky and wanted to protect ourselves, just incase.  It is great if getting your pet spayed or neutered and getting medicines and shots.   **BUT beware!  **If your current policy is going to expire in a few weeks and your pet gets hurt, wait to see the vet until the new one kicks in!!  If your pet is injured and your old policy runs out before all treatment is done, (even if you have paid for the next policy) they WILL NOT pay for anything that they consider to be under the "old" policy.  Our husky, Darby, I thought just had a muscle strain.  After a week of it not healing, I went in to the vet to check it out.  X-rays showed that she had a fracture in her tibia.  The vet wanted to wait a week to see if things got better with an anti-inflammatory.  Nope, more x-rays showed that she had basically a torn ACL and needed surgery.  I had to be referred to a specialist, wait on an opening and then be scheduled for surgery for my dog.  Needless to say, the surgery was not until the new policy had kicked in.  Even though we had been a customer for 6 years, they would not pay for the surgery.  Thank goodness I had called when I found out about the surgery and checked.  I cancelled our policy right then.  Why waste money with insurance when they would not be there when I really needed them?  Fortunately, the vet specialist had a credit card that has allowed us to pay off the surgery. (Yup, $2,600 worth of vet bill for that leg!  She is a metal loving dog now.) So, personally, if I get another dog, yes I will get the insurance to help pay us back for getting her fixed.  After that, the insurance will be ditched.  Not worth it in the long run.
