Right now, I have a 10 year old Jack Russell Terrier who is my best friend in the world and who I love as much I do any family member. I have a cream colored cat aptly named Creamy who is around 8 years old. Great cat. I have a scardey cat named Princess who is about 6 years old. She is strictly indoors and is scared of everything. But she is a great hunter.
And our newest pet is a tiny orange kitty we found tossed on a highway at night in a rainstorm three weeks ago. My husband saw something in the road and we backed up three miles looking for it. He spotted something and found this baby kitten on the other side of the guardrail. I jumped out of the car and went to work, ignoring his little hissy fit (the cat's, not my husband's). scooping him up, inspecting him, and holding him as we drove home. He was a mess. About five weeks old and filthy, greasy, skinny, eyes all crusty, scared. NOW...he's a fat spoiled kitten who is really a beauty. He is about 8 weeks old and healthy. He has his first vet's visit next week. I never planned to keep him but he got to us all and now we all love him.
Next week, I may have even more animals. I heard there is a little homeless kitten not far from here that people are feeding but not caring for. I sense I will go and look for it and give it the Patty treatment. I can't ever turn my back on any animal. At one point, I had 13 cats, 10 of which I found or took in for various reasons.
