#1 Lassie Come Home  #2 Eight Below ( tear jerker but with a happy ending)   #3  Lady & The Tramp,   #4  Where The Red Fern Grows  # 5  K9 (the dog gets shot but lives)  #6 Air Bud  #7 101 Dalmations  #8  Homeward Bound  #9  All Dogs Go To Heaven  #10 Turner & Hooch.  Turner & Hooch would have been #1 if it had ended differently. I loved the Douge & Tom Hanks but I thought it was an inappropriate ending for a movie that a lot of children would watch.

Mist: The Tale of a Sheepdog Puppy (movie) is a British television family film following the life of a border collie puppy as she grows up to become a working sheepdog. It features seven working dogs - the puppy Mist, her mother Gail, grandfather 'Sir' Gregory, eccentric uncle Jake, miserable auntie Fern, surly cousin Ernie and wise auntie Swift. The dogs are voiced by artists. It has spawned a spin-off television series called Mist: Sheepdog Tales, which charts the sheepdog adventures of the adult Mist.

It is a very cute movie. The TV series Mist: Sheepdog Tales is cute and funny. Amazon.com sells both of them. Here are the Amazon links if you are interested.

There's also "The Incredible Journey" with two dogs and a cat and "The Call of the Wild" if you like the northern wilderness.

Marley & Me (I just didn't like the sad ending for clearance puppy!)

Snow Buddies & Air Buddies

Just about any movie about puppies or dogs as long as they are not being mistreated.

I loved "Oh Heavenly Dog" which starred Benji (remember him?) with voice over by Chevy Chase of all people.  It was adorable.
