I grew up with Boxers all my life. Our family will probably never own another breed. Are you loyal to one breed or do you have a couple favorites?

Another Scotty lover? I'm so glad to meet you! Scotties seem to be declining in popularity. People don't know what they're missing! They're smart, funny & loyal. Do you happen to subscribe to Great Scots magazine. It's wonderful for all things Scotty. Of course there was Fala. Then Ike had Telek. And George W had Barney & Miz Beasley. Eva Braun also had a Scotty. My screen name is short for Gaelforce Postscript - Peggy Sue - who was the last Scottish Terrier to win Best In Show at Westminster. Are you going to get another Scotty? I'm on a waiting list for a Scottish Terrier Rescue Dog.

Bichon Frise doggies all the way. Hypo allergenic, loving (the boys more than the girls) very cute (see my photos) and not yappy a even though they are small. One of my friends calls them living stuffed animals, and she is right. Our two boys are sweet and caring, but not fawning, they are rumored to be velcro dogs (in a good way) but they have just the right amount of cuddle and independence. I grew up with standard schnauzers and they are also fantastic family dogs.

Couldn't agree more.  This is my first dog ever and I can't imagine life without him.

Hi, Meredith, I'm thinking about getting a dog next year. 2010.

I read and heard that Boxers are friendly, funny, loyal and protective.  It maybe the breed I might choose next year.

what makes you loyal to this breed?

Hello!  Kimtako, I would like to ask you the same question I asked Meredith. What makes this breed your favorite?

Hello,  sayituse's.  I had a few cats that were doglike.  This is the first, that I every heard of a dog that is  catlike.  Do you mean in a cuddly way?

Meri,  your little yorkie sounds so sweet, and I like the fact that she is loyal and protective...

because next year I  won't a little friend that is everything you mention.

There are so many wonderful little Man's best friends on this blog.  I'm studying what breed/breeds will be best for me.

Golden Retrievers seem like the best, all-round dog, but I never had one.

I tend to like bigger dogs (I used to have a German Shepherd) but not too big (like Great Danes or St. Bernards).

Ditto on the dachshunds!  We used to raise them and they have wonderful personalities!  I believe I have a picture of Princess in my album here.  She was a puppy I kept from one of our litters.  One of the twins has her now :)
