helps to save homeless animals, search by location, can search many area shelters from home, extensive listing of shelters/rescues, find exactly what you want, furry or scaly or feathery

Not all shelters are on-line yet

The Petfinder website allows you to search for basically any pet you want. You can search by breed, animal, state, zip code, city, etc. I think it's wonderful that there is a trusted place where shelters can list the many, many animals that need forever homes. They also have pet classifieds where you can search "by owner" listings or place a listing for a pet you need a home for. There's many other things to do on there: games, volunteer sign up, etc. Check it out ! If you're looking for a pet, petfinder is the place to go.
