Kudos to the family who thought to take advantage of the internet to help pets.  Millions of animals have a greater opportunity for home placement and medical care.  Additionally, there is a larger awareness of abuse and neglect which can come to light and be addressed.

Petfinders is a great website. I haven't personally used it but that's because I get my fuzzy loved ones at the humane society where I volunteer.
