When my dog was a puppy just a short year and a half ago, we had the pleasure of having to house-train him. Never having a puppy before, we were advised by my sister-in-law to try Pet Select Pee-Pee Pads. She had used them with her puppy and apparently they worked well for her, so we gave them a try.
The Facts
My Experience
We purchased the 30-count pack of Pee-Pee Pads for $11.99 hoping it would be enough to last until our puppy was house-trained. Apparently there are attractant scents that encourage puppies to eliminate on the pad. We began by laying out a few pads in the places where he was having accidents and then every other day moved the pads closer to the back door. The pads were absorbent but they had the tendency to slide on our floor and get out of place. There were also times that our puppy mistook the pads for toys and chewed them up. Within about a month our puppy was trained and we actually had some pads left over.
My Final Viewpoint
Although my dog was house-broken within a short time using these Pet Select Pee-Pee Pads, I wouldn't say they were the perfect product. Even so, I do recommend them because all in all, they do work. I have decided to go with a 3 star rating due to the fact that they slid around the floor and were mistaken for toys.
