I never thought that pets beyond dogs and cats had personality, or at least not strong personalities, but my first rabbit taught me differently. She's adorable for one, and an absolute drama queen. Each of my rabbits has their own unique personality, they're fairly easy to care for--litterbox trained so trips downstairs to go out or constant confinement in cages isn't necessary.
Rabbits aren't for everyone though. Their digestive systems are very touchy and a little research to know the right foods and in what quantities is necessary to keep them in good health. Also, with most pets, they should be spayed or neutered. Females have a very high rate of reproductive cancers if not spayed, and they can have false pregnancies which are very stressful for both the pet and the owner.
They do very good in pairs or trios if they're going to be left alone at home while you're at work, but introducing rabbits takes a bit of effort and should be done with caution. Again, do some research online, there are lots of great sites out there. One is the House Rabbit Society that has tons of online articles and information on any questions you may have.
Overall I adore my rabbits and prefer them to any other pet I've ever had.
