I've had 5 Mini Rexes and 1 Netherland Dwarf over the past 12 years and I can say that they are the BEST pets - very intelligent, loving, and affectionate.  PLEASE get them spayed/neutered if you get them for a pet.  Females have less chance of getting cancer when they are spayed and will live longer. Males are tamer and less aggressive when they are neutered. They need Timothy hay and organic apple wood to chew on.  Pet bunnies don't also do well with dogs and rarely with cats because they are prey animals but mine have always gotten along well with my 3 chinchillas and 3 birds.  They all have their own room in my basement.  I would never let my pets have free reign through my house because rabbits will chew on cords and get electrocuted and some plants are poisonous.  If you have small children PLEASE supervise them when they play with the bunnies because bunnies are fragile and can easily break their backs if mishandled.
