It has a manly scent - like somewhat cheap cologne - but it isn't too strong. My son prefers this formula over regular Pert Plus and his hair looks really great lately. He left a bottle in the shower and I gave it a try. I am a woman with very long hair that needs TLC. I highlight it and use heated styling tools and generally use deep conditioners. However, I do get build up from the styling products I use and have been looking for a good clarifying shampoo that doesn't leave my hair parched. I never expected** Pert Plus for Men Deep Cleansing 2 in 1 Shampoo Plus Conditioner** to be that shampoo! It washed my hair thoroughly and leaves it super shiny and healthy looking. My hair doesn't look damaged or dry and I don't need an extra conditioner when I use it. It is for men, but the only thing for men is the scent. I wish they would come out with this exact formula with a unisex or feminine scent because it is much better than the other Pert Plusses. My hair had more body, more shine, and more life after I used this duo. I wouldn't use it every shampoo but I will use it every week to get rid of the build up and to revitalize my hair. There are plenty of feminine scented deep cleaning shampoos but** Pert Plus for Men Deep Cleansing 2 in 1 Shampoo Plus Conditioner** is inexpensive and works really, really well for me. Shocking! ***My Viewpoint*** Although this product is billed being for men, it works for me! I need to deeply clean my hair after a week or 10 days of using gentle shampoos and heavy conditioners along with styling products and **Pert Plus for Men Deep Cleansing 2 in 1 Shampoo Plus Conditioner **does that and leaves my hair so shiny and full! Naturally I wish it had a more feminine scent but it doesn't linger on my hair. It's fine for using a few times a month. For my son, it's a great daily shampoo that makes his hair shiny, clean, and manageable. ***4 stars.*** Effectiveness It washed my hair thoroughly and leaves it super shiny and healthy looking. Pert Plus for Men 3 in 1 Shampoo, Conditioner and Body Wash.  I tried it and didn't really care for it.  My husband likes it.  It does all the jobs with one product.  Nice scent.  As told by my hairdresser, women with perms and color shouldn't use any hair product that is green in color.  It does something to relax the curl.  So, I used it once.  It didn't condition as well as a regular conditioner for me.  I still had a tough time getting the comb through my hair afterwards.  Other than that it was fine.  I didn't use it as a body wash.
