Although this shampoo smells so good, it wrecked my hair and scalp. I used this shampoo combo for about a week. I have a little dry scalp but not enough to have flakes or dandruff. I am not exaggerating when I say that after a week of using this shampoo my head was snowing. I was so embarrassed. To make it worse, my scalp was itchy so when I scratched, more flakes fell. I was sitting in a meeting and since I have long hair I will sometimes play with the ends if I get bored. I started picking at the ends and my hair just started breaking off. I had split ends everywhere. I was so shocked. Now I had breaking hair and dandruff. I stopped using this product immediately. I do have bleach blonde highlights and get my hair trimmed every six weeks. I typically do not have a problem with split ends to the point where my hair is significantly breaking off in my hand. If you have any type of highlighted or color processed hair I would not recommend this product.

I have bought the Pert Plus Anti-Dandruff 2 in 1 Shampoo & Conditioner twice in two different "seasons". The first time I bought a bottle was during the winter months and while using this product, it resulted in giving me dry skin and scalp. I thought maybe this issue was in part due to it being dry in my house with having to keep windows shut because of the cold weather. I really liked the scent of this product so I bought a bottle a second time during the summer months, however, once again it left me having an itchy scalp after the first use. Effectiveness I really liked how well this 2 in 1 shampoo & conditioner left my hair clean yet soft and manageable as well as easy to brush through. However, I had to discontinue using this product after 4 uses due to it drying my scalp out. Scent One of the main reasons I decided to try this 2 in 1 shampoo was due to it's refreshing but light scent, not an overly cloying, heavy smell.

I used this shampoo for a while, and I was very disappointed in it. I found it not to be very effective and did not eliminating dandruff. It also left my hair feeling dried out and damaged. After using almost the whole bottle and hoping for a change, I finally stopped using it and threw it away. Effectiveness I found that this did not help eliminate or even lessen my dandruff. The conditioner part of this two in one shampoo did not help to really condition my hair at all. It left my hair feeling dried out, but the dandruff was still there. A few times I even tried washing and rinsing my hair twice to see if it would make a different, but the results were the same. Scent As with many dandruff shampoos, this shampoo has that medicinal type smell about it. It is not quite as bad as some other more well known brands. It would be nice if they could come up with a more pleasant scent for people who have dandruff.

I had to use this shampoo/conditioner when I ran out of my usual product and it was purchased by my husband. I do have dry scalp so I thought I would try it. I did not like using this shampoo/conditioner because I did not see a real improvement in dry scalp or itchiness and the conditioner did not make my hair feel soft at all. It did a good job of cleaning my hair like a normal shampoo and was easy to lather and rinse out. However I would not buy it if I needed to correct dandruff because it did not improve my hair. Effectiveness Good basic shampoo for cleansing but did not help with scalp dryness and the conditioner did not really condition my hair. I had to start using a separate conditioner after using this product in order to have soft hair. Scent The scent was a standard shampoo smell and was not anything remarkable. It did not linger after my shower which was nice because I could use a perfume without it mixing together.

I don't have dandruff, but I do get a very itchy scalp after a day of not washing my hair. To help me get through the itchiness, I have bought special shampoos in the past (like Neutrogena T-Sal), and wasn't satisfied with how they left my hair with a rough texture. I bought the Pert Plus Anti-Dandruff 2-in-1, and am pleased with how well it cleans. The conditioner leaves my hair smooth, and the anti-dandruff ingredients leave my scalp itch-free. The minty eucalyptus smell is nice too, though a tad bit overpowering. My husband likes it, though, so I wouldn't change it. I also prefer a less thick shampoo, so that I can spread it over my long hair better and without watering it down, though the conditioner is probably what makes the Pert Plus so thick. I use it about once a week. Overall, I am very satisfied with how well it works on my itchy scalp and how smooth my hair looks afterwards.

I have used almost every antidandruff shampoo and I have found that this suits my scalp the best with continuous use. Effectiveness Pert plus antidandruff shampoo is very effective in controlling your dandruff problem but you have to use it continuously otherwise the dandruff comes back. Use it on a daily basis or every other day and keep this shampoo in use. After initial use the scales breakoff from the scalp and cause a little itchy but that is temporary. With continuous usage the dandruff remains under control and there is no itchiness. The hair remain soft and smooth plus your dandruff remains under control with pert plus. Keep in mind there is no permanent cure for dandruff on Earth. All you can do is to keep it under control with Zinc or Selenium shampoos with daily hair wash. The shampoo is one of the few in the market that contain Zinc which works better for men's scalp. Scent I like the scent which is very descent.

Both my husband and I have dandruff and occasionally use this shampoo. It works for a little while, but if you use it for too many days in a row, the dandruff comes back. So then we have to use another shampoo and come back to Pert Plus. As far as a shampoo and conditioner, it cleans and conditions fine. I have shoulder length hair, so I don't know how it would be for people with longer hair. You don't seem to have to use very much to get a good lather, so I don't think any is wasted. I do like the smell of the shampoo and the smell is long lasting. For the price though, this shampoo is the cheapest out there for dandruff control, although I wish it would work longer. If you are on a budget and have dandruff I would recommend Pert Plus. However, if you can spend the extra money to get better dandruff control, I would go with a different brand. Effectiveness Doesn't work long term. Best used alternating with a regular shampoo.

I used to use Pert Shampoo, but my hairdresser commented that she didn't feel it was a very healthy shampoo. Since my salon didn't sell any anti-dandruff shampoo that I could afford, I still decided to go ahead and buy Pert Plus Anti-Dandruff shampoo since I have occasional flakes and my husband was using Head & Shoulders every day. Pert Plus comes in a green colored bottle, like all of the Pert shampoos. The shampoo itself is a pearly green color. I really like the fragrance of Pert Plus Anti-Dandruff, and there really aren't many dandruff shampoos on the market that I can say that about. The formula is pH balanced, safe for use on hair that has been color treated, and you can use it every day if you need to. The active ingredient is the same ingredient that is used in Head & Shoulders, and the ingredient that our dermatologist said to look for. It contains 0.45% Pyrithione Zinc, which is the ingredient that fights dandruff and dry scalp. Pert Plus Anti-Dandruff gives a lot of great lather, and it doesn't take much shampoo to get that lather. The "plus" portion of the shampoo means it contains an added conditioner. Because of this it isn't a shampoo that I would use every day because I don't like to condition my hair that often. The conditioner does a good job of removing snarls from my fine, thin hair, but I do find this shampoo harder to wash out of my hair, probably because of the conditioner. I didn't realize it until I compared Pert Plus Anti-Dandruff with the bottle of Head & Shoulders we had in the shower, and I see that Head & Shoulders contains 1%Pyrithione Zinc and the Pert Plus only has 0.45%. We both feel that Head & Shoulders works better at controlling our dandruff. I also feel that my hair doesn't stay as clean and I have to wash it more often when I use Pert Plus. I won't be purchasing this shampoo again, but I may buy the regular Pert shampoo. Effectiveness Does not contain as much of the active ingredient that fights dandruff, did not work as well as head & Shoulders. Seems to build up on my hair so I have to wash it more often. Scent The scent is okay, better than most dandruff shampoo I have tried

I've always been a big fan of Pert Plus, I've always loved how it left my hair feeling and smelling. So when I started getting dandruff and a dry scalp I didn't realize that Pert even had an anti-dandruff shampoo. I went out and bought one of the other well known anti-dandruff shampoos and I hated it. When I would use this other brand I would really try to work it into my scalp to try to get rid of the dry skin, but I noticed that if my nail scratched my scalp that this other brand would actually make my scalp burn and tingle. Then when I was done using this other brand my hair actually felt more dried out than when I started. So I went to the store to look for another anti-dandruff shampoo and was so delighted when I saw that Pert Plus had an anti-dandruff shampoo. I bought it right away and I was so pleased with the results. When I used the Pert Plus anti-dandruff shampoo it felt and smelled the same as the regular Pert Plus that I loved so much, but it gave me all the benefits of an anti-dandruff shampoo. With regular use my dandruff went away but my hair still felt soft. This shampoo works so great yet is so gentle that I actually use it regularly in place of any other shampoo to prevent myself from getting dandruff again. Effectiveness With regular use it took care of my dandruff problem. Scent I love the scent, it's as great as the regular Pert Plus.

I am on the fence on this shampoo. My husband told me it works for him, but it does not work for me. It cleans fine, but like most two in one's my hair needs a better conditioning, and it hasn't tackled the dandruff like I had hoped. It does smell better than other shampoos like it and is good for the price.
