Apple Mighty Mouse

Apple Mighty Mouse
Every day computer user

JUL

2008
Just as Mighty Mouse saved the day back in the golden years of cartoons, Apple's Mighty Mouse will save your day with its ease of use with your Apple computer. Bluetooth enabled, no longer is your mouse tied to a wire and with its mini-track ball, you can navigate pages and content with a slide of the tip of your finger. The only complaint as a track ball lover, the mini-back only scrolls up and down and does not have the full mouse moving capability of a true track ball. On the whole, it liberates you from your computer desk and allows you, with the Apple Wireless Keyboard, to control… read full review »

Logitech LX 8 Cordless Laser Mouse

always on the computer, a professional writer, worried about carpal tunnel

When typing started to hurt...... — After a year of writing full-time, my right hand started to hurt pretty bad.  My little touch pad was forcing my right hand to make small, repetitive motions and I'd go through whole days with one very cramped, sore hand that was achy.  I saw the writing on the wall and started to worry. — After I bought some voice-recognition software (less typing means less pain), a friend recommended I look into wireless mice.   She said that getting away from my notebook's tiny touch pad would help uncurl my hand, and a… read full review »

Logitech Access Keyboard

Logitech Access Keyboard

JUN

Begrudgingly, I finally have up on my old worn-out keyboard, and accepted the The Logitech Access Keyboard from a friend as a birthday present. To be sure, I was glad to be getting this new keyboard, but me and the old one had a lot of memories together. Now I was being thrust into the technological age of the 21st Century whether I liked it or not. Well I do like it, and I am glad that I was given this gift, because not only has it helped out my typing, but the mere appearance of this sleek new keyboard probably raised the value of my desk hundreds of dollars. Or maybe that is just what I… read full review »

I developed an RSI about eight months ago and, to be honest, I'm surprised it took so long to happen. I spend many, many hours a day at the keyboard, and many many hours mousing around. Luckily, through the wonders of chiropractic, I've got my injury under control. I have had to make some life changes, though. — The most recent change I've made, on the advice of a professional ergonomic assessment expert and physical therapist, is the switch from a traditional mouse to the Countour RollerMouse Pro. —  What, exactly, is it??? — Ok, the RollerMouse Pro is basically a… read full review »

Logitech QuickCam® Pro 9000 Personal Web Camera

Logitech QuickCam® Pro 9000 Personal Web Camera

I got this webcam to keep in touch with friends and family out of state.  It works great for my purposes.  The picture quality is great and is limited by our DSL connection speed, not the camera itself.  The microphone works well for conversation. — — There is an autofocus which works well.  The camera doesn't work as well as I would like in dim lighting though, but as long as there is a normal amount of light in the room it works great. — — The camera software has some fun features added to it, including zoom, and fun cartoon overlays for your… read full review »

StarTech PC Case Front Port Panel

I recently installed a card in my computer that gave me FireWire ports and a couple additional USB ports. The card works fine except that all these new connectors are only accessible on the back panel of the computer. It's much more practical having these kind of connectors on the front panel of the computer, so I looked for a solution and found it in the form of the StarTech PC Case Front Port Panel. StarTech's part number for this product is 35BAYPANEL, and I bought it for $25 at the nearby MicroCenter store. — What it is — The StarTech 35BAYPANEL is a plastic chassis that… read full review »

GE Wireless Optical Mini Mouse

Okay I admit it, I spend entirely too much of my time on-line these days.  Who doesn't?  While I admit I am an Internet junkie and live on-line at times I want to be able to navigate easily and quickly.  I own both a laptop and a desktop but the only one that ever gets used is the laptop.  The mouse-pad is convenient yes, but it is not fully efficient for me.  The GE Wireless Mini Optical Mouse solved my little annoyance about a year ago. — The Basics — The GE Wireless Optical Mini Mousecomes packaged with everything you need to get started; the mouse, USB… read full review »

Microsoft LifeCam VX-3000 Personal Web Camera

I won the Microsoft LifeCam VX-3000 on Live Search Club (www.club.live.com). It was completely free (no shipping or anything) so I really can't complain. However, the box describes it with amazing terminology such as High Quality Video and Crystal Clear audio. In contrary, it's just an ordinary webcam. It suffices the need of a webcam but you don't want to use it to shoot your big movie production or short film. The video gets pixelated when any fast movement takes place and the audio is semi-clear. What was cool, though, was the effect to zoom in and pan. Also, they have many animated… read full review »

I have always like the quality put into every Logitech product and this is no exception to that feeling. So when my corded mouse started acting erratic with my laptop I needed to find another mouse. My old one still works good but the laptop case has gotten shiny and the old red laser on my old Logitech just doesn't want to work on it. So I put it on my desktop and replaced it with this new Logitech LX7 "Invisible" Optic Mouse — — Logitech LX7 Invisible Optic Mouse — — I am not sure what the difference is with this being an Invisible optic mouse other… read full review »

Logitech V220 Optical Wireless Notebook Mouse

Logitech V220 Optical Wireless Notebook Mouse

This mouse works great!  Plug in the receiver and click the connect button, and it sets the connection settings into the mouse.  After that initial setup, it will automatically detect the mouse every time the receiver is plugged in.  Like most optical mice, the surface you are rolling it on cannot be too uneven or the cursor will jump around a lot.  Seems really sensitive so you may have to change the setting when you first try it out. … read full review »

To the PointAfter learning about Skypes my husband got us a good webcam for home. He sent me the QuickCam Messenger (Chat)** from Logitech, which he told me was not expensive but does the trick. I am able to see him and my Hanna (a 4-year old Pomeranian). It's worked out wonderfully while I've been in Florida taking care of my mom. — A Closer View — I'm not a techie so I'll be describing this as I used it and leave some specifications at the bottom. — When I got it and took it out of the package I was nervous that I wouldn't be able to set it up but it couldn't have been… read full review »
