What drew me to this particular perennial flower was the unusual crimson wine color of the blooms.  I had a sunny spot in my garden and I thought the Crimson Scabiosa would make an interesting focal point.  It did, but not in the way I had anticipated. Crimson Scabiosa have 2-inch double blooms on 24-inch stems.  They prefer full sun and are hardy in zones 4 to 9.  The blossoms look like miniature pincushions and flower from early summer to mid fall, which was perfect for my landscaping needs. — I planted the flowers and they took off almost immediately.  They… read full review »
