We chose to stay here because we had a very early flight out of Reno but didn't want to be right next to the airport with planes flying overhead. This hotel accomplished that objective cost-effectively. Be aware there's a lot of walking involved if you choose the skywalk rooms. The tower rooms are… read full review »

while the hotel staff was very friendly, the actual hotel had some serious problems. the first room my 9 year-old daughter and i were in was behind a large construction site. the concrete was broken and the entire area was hosed down when the workers were finished. at night we had to walk… read full review »

I live in Reno only a block and a half away from the Peppermill Hotel and Casino.  I have one of their players club card and I regularly get their 2 for 1 hotel stays. So at least once or twice a year I stay at this hotel for 2 nights Sunday thru Thursday.  My daughter also stays there. — They are currently remodelling the hotel and casino and its already starting to look really nice.  They have a hugs arcade for kids of all ages. They also have several award winning restaurants. I found their buffet the most excellent in Reno. Also the Steakhouse wonderful restaurant… read full review »

We go to Reno a couple of times a year & use a player's card at the Peppermill when gambling. They always send great offers because of this, such as free stays (2-3 nights) Birthday dinners free, and other fun deals. The restaurants are tasty & it's nice to be able to hang out in one place without going downtown where it can be a little "seedy" at times, not to mention cold in the winter & scorching in the summer! The rooms & suites are really lovely as well, offering steam & hottubs right in lots of the… read full review »

My husband and I just returned from our first vacation without the kids. The first two nights we spent at the Peppermill Hotel Casino in Reno, NV and loved it. Great staff. We were upgraded to a suite without asking. Upon check out we found out our room was "taken care of". My husband had them check again, we couldn't believe it. Two nights comped in a suite. That's service. We will be telling everyone about the Peppermill and making it a regular stop when it comes to places to go. … read full review »

WELL LETS START AT CHECK IN - WE WERE TIRED AND EXCITED. IN RENO FOR THE NATIONAL BOWLING CONVENTION. WE HAD ABOUT 50-60 PEOPLE BOOKED AT THIS HOTEL. ALL WITH BOWLING BALLS AND AT LEAST 2 BAGS EACH. THE GUY BEHIND THE DESK CHANGED OUR ROOMS MAKING IT SOUND LIKE WE WERE GETTING BETTER THAN WHAT WE PLANNED. HE SAID TAKE YOUR BAGS AND TAKE THE ELEVATOR UP TO 3RD THEN TAKE THE SKY WALK, GO TO THE ELEVATOR BACK DOWN TO 2ND AND YOUR ROOMS ARE ABOUT 25 STEPS. WRONG! WE ENDED UP AT THE BACK SIDE OF THE HOTEL, YOU KNOW WHERE ALL THE EMPLOYESS GO TO SMOKE AND PARK THIER CARS. AND DON'T MIND THE… read full review »

Upon my arrival, I was told my room was in a separate building that required going down two long hallways, up a stairwell to then go down an elevator, outside the building, around construction to a keyed entry building that again required immediately going up a stairwell (this is after a day long effort of a large suitcase and two heavy carrying bags!) to find out not only did the front desk person process the key wrong but the building was truly the most run down, dirty and disgusting place that offered little in terms of feeling safe. Returning the route I came (totally exhausted), I… read full review »

The Peppermill looked like a wonderful alternative to the Reno Hilton where I usually stay. I travel on business, and get reimbursed for expenses. My Nevada client is more than fair and has never questioned expenses. Still, I don't like to splurge with my client's money. My simple rule for business travel is this: "What would I do if I were paying for this myself?" I was very impressed with the furnishings in the room, especially the large plasma TV. The room was small, but not uncomfortable. I'd been looking forward to having fourteen drinks, one in each bar. The stench in the room,… read full review »

The room was a large spa room. Much bigger than most. It had a beutiful hot tub. Because the room was at the end of the building we had windows that surrounded and the view was incredible. The ONLY problem I had with the room was that there could have been a couple of extra pillows. Although I'm sure if we had asked they would have been provided. We went to the coffee shop for a late night snack/breakfast and were amazed at how big the portions were. The pool area is under renovation (we weren't there to swim) and it looks like it will be quite the attraction when finished. The staff… read full review »

It was a fairly clean looking room but there was no coffee pot in there so I called housekeeping and they brought one up there. Then we went downstairs and played until 9:00 at night when we went back up to check out the jacuzzi. Well, the jacuzzi plug would NOT stay in and it kept losing water! You had to sit in there with your hand on the plug or all the water would run out. So...that was pretty much a waste. The next morning we went to check out and gave the valet our ticket for the car. We stood out there in the hot sun (cause there's construction going on)and waited for 40 minutes for… read full review »

When we arrived at the Peppermill check-in desk, we were asked if we knew we were staying in the "G Building", I replied that I did not know about the "G Building". Turns out, the G Building is not in the same building as the casino, but is out back by some industrial buildings, dumpsters, and garages. We lugged our suitcases through the snow to our "building". The room was not bad. In fact I was impressed that the room was as nice as it was, given it's location. So, we felt like we could definitely make the best of it... and maybe the "G Building" would not be so bad. … read full review »

Our room at the Peppermill was comfortable and clean, although I'm not sure I would have been as happy had the woman been successful in sending us to the bunker in the parking lot she intended to. Unfortunately, we needed two beds and there weren't any rooms left there. I was happily surprised that the gym had new equipment, the pool looked great, although I didn't go, and the Oceano restaurant was FANTASTIC, delicious. I would have like some healthier, lighter breakfast options -- the little cafe in the lobby didn't even have fat-free milk and sold mostly donuts, and the coffee shop was… read full review »

While the rooms were newly redecorated and nice the hotel itself had several issues. The first issue was that the handicapped accessible rooms required that you either climbed up and down twelve stairs or that you took an elevator to the parking lot, went across the lot outside and then up and down four steps. There was absolutely no way to access the room without steps unless you circled the entire hotel on the street to get to the front door. The second issue was that during the entire stay the casino was suffering from a computer error. It happens I know but in this case, the employees… read full review »

The Peppermill Hotel and Casino was perfect for our get-away vacation. The personnel were very friendly and so very helpful. Our room was in the new wing; great comfortable King-sized bed, modern bathroom with much appreciated items such as hairdryer, a lighted magnified make-up mirror, roomy shower facilites, all kept sparkling clean by the conscientious staff. Easy access to the pool area and convenient room location to the casino. Oh, and also, in the room hanging on the wall (looking like a picture) was a large crystal clear HD Sony TV!! Preferred the location of the… read full review »
