Pepcid Complete — 

Intro
I've had gastrointestinal problems my whole life. Eventually in my early 20s, I had surgery to correct it, and for the first time in my life, I had no acid indigestion or heartburn. About ten years later, I developed IBS, but couldn't take the medication as it counteracted the surgery I had had previously. The two things together blocked me up from either end, and I felt like I was going to explode. I experimented on my own, and found I could control it with calcium and magnesium vitamins. Yet another 10 years have gone by, and now for the first time in 20 years, I'm getting acid indigestion and heartburn again, but it's way worse than it ever was before. While I wait for my doctor's appointment, the discomfort got to a point where I couldn't take it anymore, so I took off to Walgreens to find something to help. I came home with a bottle of Pepcid Complete.

Usage
Following the back of the Pepcid Complete bottle, it says to chew one tablet, but not more than two in 24 hours. It wouldn't seem like that one little tablet would take care of the problem. However, with pains so bad I could hardly take it, I chewed up one of the tablets, swallowed, and just moments later I felt better. The pain wasn't completely gone, but it was manageable. I took another one the next day at lunch, and my pains were then completely gone. I've continued to take them twice a day, and will until I get in to see the doctor in a couple days. The funny thing is the active ingredients show to be calcium and magnesium, what I'm already taking, and famotidine, an acid reducer.

Conclusion
My situation is different than others, as mine is one that 20 years ago the doctors couldn't even decide what to do, and eventually the only option was surgery. So this for me isn't a solution, but a quick fix to neutralize the stomach acids so that I can make the next few days livable. Yet, for anyone that has standard heartburn or acid indigestion, I would think it would certainly suffice.

It is great When you go to bed, with a stomach ache. Just chew one of these and you won't be sick at your stomach anymore, my husband and I both have taken them

My husband has Chron's Disease and a hiatal hernia and he sometimes gets very severe heartburn and indigestion. This works for him as well. They gave him prescription meds but he prefers this. It works fast!
