The Pentax Optio is a sleek camera with a lot of features but it's really only good for being waterproof because the shutter lag time is too long and the pictures come out grainy and funny looking.   I love to use it at the beach because I don't need to worry about sand or water getting into it and it's great if you're active, but unfortunatley i'm usually needing it for pictures for social events and it just doesn't serve well in these situations.  It's good for camping and outdoors but when you try to take a picture in a dark environment the flash shutter speed takes at least five seconds and you end up holding down teh button for an awkwardly long time.  Once the picture is taken the flash causes a weird haze or yellow tone in the picture so it's not as crisp or clear as sonys.  it was quite a disappointing purchase.

This camera is small - and although it can do a lot of things, I am technically challenged.  I found it easy to upload the photos, and they turn out absolutely gorgeous.  This camera can do it all, if you like the play with things like that.  But for me, it makes a simple point and shoot with outstanding picture quality.
