Pentax - M40 Digital Camera —
- The Pentax Optio M40 is a great little camera that has come in handy on many occasions. This Pentax camera holds an impressive amount of pictures and ours currently has 431. Our family has a digital movie camera that takes pictures but it is unwieldy when attempting to take a few snapshots, especially if you have smaller children that never seem to stop moving!
- That's where the M40 comes in. This camera is small enough to go in some of the very smallest purses and easily fits into your pants pocket. This feature alone has been invaluable to us. We can take the camera anywhere we go and get the shots we never could have, or would have, in the past. We even have pictures of our smallest child immediately after she was delivered. It is not possible for me to describe how incredible it was to get those shots, at that moment, as effortlessly as I did. Wow!
- We were familiar with the Pentax name but had never owned their products until we had gotten the E40 model for our daughter that loves to go to camp. (The E40 allows for AA batteries, so that she could always change them, as she would not be able to recharge a Li-Ion battery). We were so impressed that we got the M40 for ourselves, not wanting to go overboard until we were fully sold on the Pentax product line. The M40 has the rechargeable battery and this battery seems to hold a charge a good long time.
- Unlike our larger camera, Pentax allows us to pick up the M40, at a moments notice, and get the priceless shots of our little ones, and others, that we never would have had before. The face recognition auto focus, auto exposure, and digital shake reduction make the shots a breeze. Everyone in the home is easily able to use this camera. Which reminds me, our toddler has taken several shots of the dog that need to be deleted!
- This is a value priced camera that packs a lot of great features in a sleek and compact compartment. The 2.5 inch LCD screen is bright and easy to see. The camera features are easy to navigate and this makes for a lot less headaches. It's a shame not all products work this well and easily. The Pentax Optio M40 is just right for those that are economy minded and on the go!
