If this camera had a finger, I'd put a ring on it.

I purchased the Pentax K100D camera after having the 35mm version for years.  I wanted something that would give me the same quality, could also let me see the pictures as I'm taking them.  My kids are active and have activities like indoor soccer games, dance competitions, and cheerleading competitions.  They're all fast-paced and have variable lighting conditions.

Translation:  With film pictures, I never knew how it'd come out until I got them developed. 

The other draw for the K100D was interchangeable lenses.  I have a 70-300mm telephoto lens that I'm able to continue using.  I was elated... read full review »

The Pentax K100D is a wonderful beginning slr camera.  It is a very easy camera to learn on.  You will get amazing results from this camera.  The best part about it is the price.  For a dslr this camera is very affordable. 

The Pentax K100D has many features.  It has image stabilization built right in.  Which is very important for low light shooting.  It will help you achieve sharp photos.  The Pentax K100D is compatibly with many different lenses.  You can even find some great vintage lenses for a great price that will work with this camera.
