Peg Perego Prima Papa High Chair Review Summary

“Impressive to look at and stylish,” is the leading description of the Peg Perego Prima Papa High Chair.” Available in a variety of colors sure to match any décor, the Prima Papa High Chair receives respectable ratings from our quality seeking reviewers. True the Peg Perego High Chair is more costly, but it has several features reviewers rave about including its versatility, compact storage and ample padding in the seat. The numerous recline and height positions allow the Peg Perego Prima Papa to accommodate baby’s needs through a variety of stages. It’s so versatile that baby “can reach the counter bar height, OR be fed while you sit in a chair.” Is there anything parent’s don’t like? Yup… the biggest complaint about the Peg Perego Prima Papa High Chair is the harness system. While having a 5-point harness is nice, reviewers describe it as “a nightmare to use.” Harness issues aside, the majority of reviewers agree the Peg Perego Prima Papa High Chair is “far superior to any in its class, definitely worth the extra money.” Read more reviews on high chairs to see for yourself.

bought a Graco Double Tray highchair with my first son because it matched all the rest of his accessories. Big Mistake.

I have since replaced it with the Prima Pappa and I *LOVE* it just as much as all my friends who also had one do. It is on it's 4th child now and I still love it just as much as when...

This seat was impressive to look at, and stylish. However, my baby was way too short to sit in it comfortably!! The tray hit her in the face! The straps were also very hard to adjust and remove, and the tray was absolutely ridiculous to remove. The small clips that keep the tray in place broke after... review »

I got this high chair for a baby shower gift.... It was my "most wanted".  I wanted it because I had been reading how wonderful the Peg Perego quality was in all the parenting magazines.  I can HONESTLY say it was the best gift I got.

The chair pad is extra padded (LOVE THAT) all around, so your little one isn't tipping over sideways while you try to feed.  It is vinyl, so it's easily washed down with a sponge.  They come in many colors and styles so matching your decor isn't an issue.  The tray is ONE HAND friendly,  any experienced mother knows the value of that feature!

The chair reclines...

Basically... my Peg Perego Prima Papa High Chair was a Craigslist special.  I think it's several years old, has been used by several children and you know what?  It's still ticking.  The lady that sold it to me even contacted the company for a replacement chair pad, and apparently they sent it to her... scott free!

It seems to be comfortable for my son, and it keeps him firmly in place.  I like that the straps hold in him place almost like a car seat would - he's so rambunctious and if I'm going to use this in an instance where I'm not going to be by his side every moment, it gives me peace...

I received the Peg Perego Prima Pappa high chair as a gift when my daughter was born 10 yrs ago, and we used it for quite a while.  One of my favorite features is that when my child was old enough we could take the tray off of the chair & push it up against the table, so she would eat dinner with us like a "big girl".

Well, we finished using the chair, our daughter was an only child until she was 8 yrs old and then the little one came along.  So we took out our Peg Perego, which we stored in the basement & unfortunately, since I didn't store it properly, the seat cover got stuck to itself...

The Peg Perego Prima Papa High Chair is worth the price!  We love this high chair.  First off, the tray comes on and off which is great if you need your child secured for some other reason than just to eat.  I often put him in it to watch television so I can leave the room without worrying that he's going to get into trouble.  He likes being high up and I like that he's safe and secure.  The other good thing about the tray coming out is it makes for easy cleaning.  This is a huge plus because kids are extremely messy and I like to make sure all of the food particles are removed.  The top...

I purchased the peg perego prima pappa in 2004 for my 1st son.  I am generally happy with it.  It was a very comfortable seat.  My son would eat in it and when he was finished I would roll it into the living room so he could watch tv in it while I showered and got dressed.  it was good to know that he was safely strapped in.  Somtimes I would recline it and he would even fall asleep in it.  I like the removable tray - it is a good feature.  I also have disasembled it many times to clean it and it is relatively easy to put back together.  Lots of food does get stuck under the seat pad but...

I had many choices in high chairs and ofcourse, I had many suggestions from friends and family too. I selected the Peg Perego Prima Papa High Chair because, compared to the rest, it was durable and easy to clean. My son loved the rocking feature and it let myself and my husband get through our meals! It doesn't have a fabric inserted cushion that you have to wash over and over again, it has a very comforable vinyl seat that is easy and quick to wipe clean. The seat is also removeable for those really messy, drippy meals, or if you just want to clean it out really well. We used it for our son and...

I bought the Peg Perego Prima Papa Diner with my second child and absolutely fell in love with it.  First of all it is a lot more stylish than other highchairs I have seen and I really liked that.  The seat is made of leather so it wipes down very easily.  I think one of my favorite aspects is that there are two trays so when baby is done eating you can remove the top try to clean and there is a second tray underneath to put toys on or what not.  Another cool aspect is that it rocks.  You can drop the legs down and it turns into a rocker which I have never seen on any other highchair.  I...

This is my favorite high chair!  I love the white leather.  The one I have is actually white with blue accents.  I got this actually second hand from a family member and when I got it it was filthy!  After a couple hours of cleaning it up it looked like it was new out of the box.  It obviously took a lot of abuse but the fact that the paint was almost flawless and the leather pad looked almost spotless was so impressive to me!  It is a very simple design but it works great!  I would highly recommend this high chair to anyone.  I can't think of any drawbacks.  The tray is easy to remove...

I have been using this high chair since my baby was able to hold his head up.  I do like this high chair better than any others I've seen comparable to this one.   I love the height adjustabilty, I use it both at my kitchen island and the lower dining room table.  I love the 2 tray system, clean-up is much easier that way.  It has great padding and safety points, but i find it hard to remove the harness for heavy duty cleaning.  I fortunately don't need to fold it up often, but it is a really neat system, easy once you get a hang of it.  I think this chair is far superior to any in its class,... review »

I bought this high chair for a GREAT deal at babies r us because it was an old model and time to bring in the next one. I thought it was very nice looking, loved the fact that it folded up so small. It also looked very comfortable for my daughter. We used it a lot before she started table food in the reclined position just to allow her to sit at the table with us for dinner.

Now that we have been using it for several months, I still think it is nice, but it is very impractical. I find it very difficult to keep clean. My mother has a high chair that just clips onto the chair and I think this would...

Excellent High Chair.  We purchased this back in 2002 when we had our first son.  We've had a child every 3 years, so this thing has never been put away, and it is used daily.  It is still in exceptional shape.

I will agree taking the straps off to clean is a headache.  But for the most part this chair is just really handy and easy to use.

We did have a part on the folding mechanism break 2 years ago, but I called Peg Perego and they promptly sent out a replacement part and instructions at no cost to me!  Excellent customer service.

Our Peg-Perego high chair has been through three children and none of them gentle!

It was a little more expensive but worth it!  I like being able to raise or lower to match whatever situation.  It folds down when not in use and can be tucked away.  Easy to clean with washable cushion and wheels make it good for mobility.  It reclines for infant (6 months) but can still handle our 2.5 year old as well.  The tray is removable with one hand so if baby is in your arms you don't have to try and juggle :)

My baby and I absolutely love the Peg Perego Prima Papa highchair.  I registered for it after seeing it at a friends who raved about it.  It is a bit on the pricey side, but completely worth it.  The adjustable height grows with baby and the recline is wonderful as well.  It folds up and sits in the corner nicely.  My baby is 4 months old and we just started using it so I can't comment on the straps or tray yet.  No complaints so far!
