Was good for my dog

5

I gave this dog food to my puppy when they were puppies. It is tasty to them. I would recommend it. Pedigree is a brand I always saw as a brand that is good to me. I feed my dogs according to the directions on the bag, my dogs are all heathy now. It has to be the best food I have ever given to my puppies. It is dry and is not wet, I would recommend it to anyone that has a puppy and want to give it healthy dog food. I gave this dog food to my dog for about four to five months, They grew bigger and with a nice coat. I change their food to small breeds type food after a couple of months, which was good for my dogs. I bought this at petsmart and it was on sale which was great. I would really buy it again. Quality of Ingredients This dog food makes my dogs teeth healthy, which I think is good to me. I would recommend this food to everyone with a puppy. I like how it has vitamins that keep my dog strong and healthy which is great. It's a great brand.

Great For Puppies

4

We recently got a new puppy (border collie and catahoula mix), and we wanted to start her off with good puppy food that would help her grow as well as develop. This puppy food has proven effective at both physical growth as well as mental development. It satisfies her hunger well without he needing to eat extremely large amounts of food. Quality of Ingredients This puppy food includes DHA, which is very helpful for the mental development of puppies. We have seen our puppy learning and developing well over the last little while. Her mom is pretty smart as well, but I would attribute at least some of the quick mental development to the quality of the DHA in this dog food. On the physical side, we have seen her growing bigger and stronger instead of simply passing a lot of food through without drawing nutrition from it. So it seems to have helped her physically as well. Flavor Selection Our puppy likes this dog food, but there are not many available flavors.

My dog loves this food.

I started my dog on this as a puppy of course it was the puppy food. I tried other brands in the past she either didn't like the others or they made her gain to much weight. So I went back to Pedigree . Now she has more energy and loves the food, also it is great for her coat.

Please do not be fooled by the commercials

1

The commercials sure are heartwarming and you would hope that such a large company as Proctor and Gamble (owner of Pedigree) would provide decent nutrition for our little friends.... but they fall so short (to make matters worse they test their human health care lines on animals including dogs). There are 5 things that you should avoid with any pet food: 1). Corn - known allergen, leads to teeth decay , 2) Wheat - known allergen, filler, 3) Soy - known allergen, filler, 4). By-Product-Meal - this is litterally the slop left on the killing room floor, including beaks, feathers, road kill, dying animals, diseased animals and potentially euthanized pets. 5). Artificial Coloring - pointless, dogs do not care what color their food it Pedigree violates all of these rules and doesnt even have one human grade meat in their food. This is honestly junk food for dogs and offers absolutely nothing of what a dog would hunt/scavenge for in the wild (or what Wolves/Coyotes/Foxes - the Canine family would ever eat in the wild). I urge anyone to do the research for themselves, everyone should be more educated on what we are putting into our pets and demand better. With just a few Google searches you can find out plenty about the harmful effects of Corn and By-Products. Here is a list of ingredients in Pedigree: GROUND WHOLE CORN, CHICKEN BY-PRODUCT MEAL, BREWERS RICE, CORN GLUTEN MEAL (SOURCE OF LUTEIN*), ANIMAL FAT (PRESEREVED WITH BHA AND CITRIC ACID), GROUND WHOLE WHEAT, NATURAL FLAVOR, MONOCALCIUM PHOSPHATE, SALT, BREWERS DRIED YEAST, POTASSIUM CHLORIDE, FISH OIL (PRESERVED WITH MIXED TOCOPHEROLS)[SOURCE OF DHA*], VEGETABLE OIL (SOURCE OF LINOLEIC ACID), VITAMINS (dl-ALPHA TOCOPHEROL ACETATE [SOURCE OF VITAMIN E], L-ASCORBYL-2-POLYPHOSPHATE [SOURCE OF VITAMIN C*], VITAMIN A ACETATE, THIAMINE MONONITRATE [VITAMIN B1], d-CALCIUM PANTOTHENATE, BIOTIN, RIBOFLAVIN SUPPLEMENT [VITAMIN B2], VITAMIN D3 SUPPLEMENT, VITAMIN B12 SUPPLEMENT), CALCIUM CARBONATE, TAURINE, CHOLINE CHLORIDE, MINERALS (ZINC SULFATE, ZINC PROTEINATE, COPPER SULFATE, COPPER PROTEINATE, MANGANESE PROTEINATE, POTASSIUM IODIDE), MARIGOLD EXTRACT, ADDED FD&C COLOR (RED 40, YELLOW 5, BLUE 2), ROSEMARY EXTRACT

Pedigree Puppy Food is a great dog food for your growing pup!

I have a nine month old puppy (who is 50 plus pounds already), and Pedigree Puppy Food is the dog food I typically buy for him. His breeder told us that he uses this brand of food because it is good for the dogs, but is also reasonably priced. He even told me he gives it to his adult dogs, and they do just fine. I can't comment on taste, as I have never eaten any :), but my dog seems to like it. Every now and then he will pause before he starts eating, but I think that's because we've given him Beneful before (which he inhales), and we also give him table food every now and then. I like that Pedigree Puppy Food is not expensive, and I can even find coupons for it every now and then. But what makes this dog food awesome in my opinion is the fact that the bag has a zip-top close! Yay! No more worrying about folding it down so our dog can't get into it, or pouring it in a plastic container. This is such a nice feature!

Good food at a good price

Pedigree Puppy food is a good choice for new puppy owners.  We started with this food for our puppy because it was recommended by a friend and we were able to find coupons which made it a budget friendly choice for us.  Our puppy seems to like it and when it is dinner time he sits by the bag and waits for it to be served.  We have had several dogs in the past but this is our first puppy so we were worried about how to choose a good food so that we would have a healty, happy puppy. We have been satisfied by our choice in the Pedigree brand.  We have a tight budget and like that we are able to purchase this food at Walmart.  They seem to have the best price by far of all the box stores.  We got our puppy this fall, he is a lab mix so we are anxious to see how he continues to respond to this food as he grows.  In the past with our other dogs we have found that our dogs have become bored with other brands of dogs.  I hope this doesn't occur with the Pedigree food.

My Dog Loves it!

5

Our first dog was from the animal shelter.  They recommened Pedigree puppy food to us.  Our dog loved it when he was a puppy.  Tried a small bag of another well known brand and found our dog did not care much for it.  After a few days I went and found Pedigree puppy and he was eating again.  I have and will always recommend to any one with a puppy.  Have given small bags to friends when they add a new puppy to the family and they have had good sucess with this brand also.  My husband said the dog could not tell the difference.  So my friend and I got another brand, put the bags out and a small bowl next to each bag.  Both her dog and my dog went to Pedigree.  The stools are not soft or runny with use.  And we have had no problems with upset tummies as we have with other brands.  Not only does the dog like it, but we put the dry food out side and this is the only brand our feather friends eat out of his dish as well. lol

Pedigree puppy food is one of the leading brands puppies love.

The vets sugest to use the more exspensive puppy and dog food, however our puppy loves Pedigree puppy chow. He never gets sick on it or has problems with his bowels. Its very affordable and my dog gains weight like crazy.

Pedigree Puppy Food not just for puppies...

5

I love that these puppy size dog bites are crunchy but yet still soft enough for my two dogs.  I have a small Lhasa Ahpso that won't eat the small breed dog food unless she is starving.  I also have an older pit-bull who has teeth problems and well the vet recommended either wet or dry puppy food vs. the small crunchy bites I was feeding her.  So even though it says it's for puppy's I give it to my older dog and she likes it.  Yes I know she likes it because there are other brands I've tried giving her (both cheaper and more expensive) and Pedigree is just about the only thing she'll eat each and every time.  The little dog is a little more pampered (still a young dog only about 4years old so no longer a puppy but a young adult).  and she eatch mostly the wet individual serving more specialized food but when she runs out I don't have to run out to the store right away.  She is just as happy eating these crunchy bites.  In fact I'll often see her eating out of the other dog's bow just to get some of this pedigree puppy food.  So with this economy I also like to mix it with the wet dog food.  So yes this food is economical too!
