My Chihuahua loves Pedigree dog food and their Traditional Ground Dinner with Chopped Chicken is among his favorites and he doesn't even normally like chicken. This has a a great texture for smaller dogs or older dogs who have trouble chewing big pieces. It's a nice, smooth texture with no large chunks so it's easy for them to eat. Since I do have a small dog I give him just a portion of the can and refrigerate the rest. It seems to refrigerate fine with one of those little plastic lids on top. This is also a very good value since I can get three or four meals from a single can. Larger dogs, of course, will probably eat the entire can but even for them the food is a good price. The pop top can is also incredibly convenient. It is super easy to open and it is wonderful not to have to look for and try to operate the can opener first thing in the morning when I'm only half awake my my furry baby is demanding his breakfast immediately. Overall this is a very good product with solid nutrition and I definitely recommend it.

Pedigree makes wonderful Canned Dog Foods and the "Chopped Chicken" takes the award at our house! It is a nice ground texture that is safe for dogs of all sizes. The pull-tab on the lid makes feeding a breeze as I don't have to get out the can opener with 2 hungry dogs barking orders for their Pedigree Chicken Dinner! Another reason this food is so great is because I can always find it at any pet store, grocery or convenient mart ( always at a fair price). This is a great well-balanced dog food with a very generous size portion of chicken sure to have your dogs begging for more. Both of my dogs are under 20 pounds and have never had any digestive problems with this particular canned food either. It is a great buy, try a can for your dog today, they will love it! This is the only dog food I've found that holds my dog's attention better than what I'm eating. Quality of Ingredients This brand isn't exactly the Kashi of pet products, but it meets a certain set of standards I have. I don't expect the meat inside to be prime cuts, but I do expect it to be healthy. Flavor Selection There isn't a very large selection of flavors, but I've had very good results with the flavors available.

We used to spend a small fortune and bought our dog only the best food we could find, which was only available at specialty pet food stores. When she was diagnosed with cancer that all changed. Our baby hasn't had much of an appetite, and we have started to feed her what she'll eat. For us that meant buying and feeding her cans of Pedigree dog food, in a wide variety of flavors. She loves these foods, which we mix with dry food. The cans come in 13.2 ounce sizes with a lid that you pull back using the ring on the top. It is a dense dog food that is hard to mash up, but my husband mixes it with hot water which helps. The first five ingredients are: sufficient water for processing, poultry by-products, meat by-products, beef and fish. These aren't the best ingredients, and my vet told me to look for dog food that listed meat as the first few ingredients. By-products are a controversial ingredient, some think it is garbage and others feel it fine. Pet owners need to come to their own conclusions about that. For now, this is a food that our dog will eat, and getting her to eat is more of a challenge right now. It is 75 cents cheaper per can, so it is saving us a lot of money too. If you are on a tight budget this may be a brand to consider. Quality of Ingredients Contains the controversial ingredients "by-products", but it also has real beef and fish. Flavor Selection This brand comes in a wide variety of flavors and our dog likes all of them.

Last year we welcomed two wonderful additions to our little family. One was a two and a half year old male weiner dog. The second addition was a two and a half year old chihuahua. We wanted the best for those new furr babies of ours. They would not take off brand dog food. So we tried Pedigree Traditional Ground Dinner with Chopped Chicken Cannded Dog Food, and within an hour of consuming this stuff, he pooped everywhere. He pooped on my couch, on my living room floor, on my kitchen floor. They are both small dogs, and I am pretty sure that they pooped more than their own body weight in diarreah after one feeding of the Pedigree Traditional Ground Dinner with Chopped Chicken canned dog food. I waited a few days, and during t ha time I fed them dry dog food. Everything went back to normal. After a week, I once again attempted to feed them the canned dog food again. Guess What? They had diarreah all over the back yard.

I have a picky Chihuahua. She will only eat brand Pedigree dog food from a can. She eats mostly this traditional ground dinner with chopped chicken but I do also feed her a couple of the other flavors. About a year ago, her teeth started getting loose and rotten...I felt so bad watching her try to eat the dry dog food we feed to the other dogs (also Pedigree), so I tried feeding her some fancy brand of human looking dog food. She wouldn't touch it! I bought this Pedigree brand/flavor and she absolutely loves it! It's all she will eat. Sometimes I sprinkle a tiny bit of shredded cheese on top to switch things up for her - as you can tell I have a pampered pooch! She usually eats about 1/3 can per day, so one can lasts 2-3 days. I buy about 3-4 per week. I definitely recommend this product to those of you with small dogs whose teeth aren't very strong - I understand this is common in small dogs.

Pedigree dog food chicken flavor has to be my dogs favorite food around. He always finishes it when I give it to him which is reallt saying something. My dog is a Bichon and a very picky eater and that fact that he seems to wnjoy eating the Pedigree chicken flavored ground dog food is saying a lot. I have tried many other brands of dog food including some very expensive brands and my dog just does not seem to be as interested in eating other brands as he does the Pedigree line of dog foods. He laso really likes the beef flavor chunks as well as the beef ground up and the chicken chunks. I mix his wet dog food with dry dog food and ghe devours it as soon as I give it to him. I highly recommend Pedigree chicken dog food for anyone that really loves their dog and appreciates a great product at a great price. Even though my dog has allergies he has never had any issues while eating Pedigree dog food.
