I have a year old Blue Pit that eats everything, and I do mean everything. He has chewed up and completely eaten whole shoes, a pair of jeans, numerous pillow, and a few collars, so it is safe to say that he has eaten far more than any regular dog would. Normally, I feed him an off brand dry dog food, one that my Dad fed his 22 show hounds. I figure, if it was good enough for them, it's good enough for my dog. Pedigree Chicken, Rice, and Vegetable was on sale one day, the same price as my regular off brand, so I assumed for a treat, I would take Cujo a bag home. Boy, did I make a mistake! He would not touch it! I tried putting scraps on top of it to disguise it, but Cujo knew better. He would stop as soon as he saw the Pedigree dog food. This went on for about three days and my Cujo was loosing some weight so I went and bought his regular dry food. I tried mixing the Pedigree with his regular food, he turned up his nose and would not eat it. Not until I gave him his plain old dog food did he eat. I ended up giving away a 50 pound sack with only a small portion gone out of it. Since then, I will not buy him treats or any other kind of dog food made by Pedigree.

Never taking care of a pure bred Blue-Nose Pit before, I was feeding him Purina Puppy Chow from day one until i learned different. When my roommate first brought Block home, he had firm stool; two days later diarrhea every time he had to go; mainly inside the house.Housebreaking has not been easy at all because come to find out, this breed is known for stubbornness. I couldn't for the life of me justify as to why this happening. I decided to research this breed to educate myself about their dietary needs and digestive system. My roommate had raised pit puppies a long time ago and remembered to explain to me that I have to buy Pedigree because there is something in Purina puppy chow that causes runny stool in pits . As soon as he finished informing me, I immediately jumped into my car and drove to the closest store and bought Pedigree Puppy. Low and behold, by evening the following day, Block's stool was firm.

I have 3 dogs and only 1 were eager to eat this food. The other two picked at it and left some in their bowl, which they seldom do. Maybe there weren't impressed with all of the fillers that Pedigree puts into their food. My pups are used to eating either California Naturals or Innova.

Hasn't anyone read the ingredient list in Purina dog foods? For some advice on feeding your dog a quality diet go to either dogfoodanalysis.com or dogfoodproject.com and you can research each and every ingredient in your dogs food. Once you have done that, you will see that Pedigree, although not the worst dog food on the market, certainly is at the very LOW end when it comes to quality. It may be cheap, but with dog food, as with many other things, you get what you pay for. My greyhounds are my family, and I feed them the best food dog food there is, along with real food (what dog food companies like to call "people food", how silly, there is no such thing as "people food", it's all FOOD!) It doesn't matter who it's for, if it has nutritional value when you eat it, then it's FOOD! Think about it, why do dog food companies tell you not to feed your dog "people food" and then have ad campains to tell you that there is lots and lots of chicken and vegetables in their food... ah... what? I think chicken and vegetables ARE people food! See how ridiculous that is? The bottom line is that the more real food you feed your dogs, the healthier they will be. Dogs did quite well and actually had less cancer and digestive problems before the invention of dry dog food. Dry dog food (or kibble) was manufactured strictly for the convenience of humans, not for the health of dogs.

My dog is 9 years old and he has been eating Pedigree dry dog food all of his life. He absolutely loves the Pedigree Chicken, Rice & vegetables dry food so I make sure to keep at least 2 extra large bags in my pantry. I trust the Pedigree brand because they always think about your animal first, providing good food that is good for their immune system, their coat and bones. I like this particular flavore with the chicken, rice and vegetables because I find that the rice in pets diet gives him the proper nutrients he needs. I also feel the vegetables are helpful as well and I know he loves the chicken! Pedigree never fails to amaze me and I always feel confortable trying their new flavors and choices when they become available.

My dogs are really picky eaters and there are only a few brands that I can buy that they will eat. I am always on the look out for new dog food products that might be acceptable to them. Many times I have purchased a bag of dog food only to find I need to add meat drippings, left overs, gravy , etc in order to entice them to even eat it. Some times I am even left with bags of uneaten food that must be given away. I had a coupon for the Pedigree Chicken and Rice dry dog food so I decided to give it a try. The first day they ate eagerly but since the real test is the second day I waited to pass judgement on it until I had feed it to them for a few more days. To my surprise they were as eager to eat it every day and I have no problem with getting them to finish their bowls. This is definitely a brand and variety that I will buy again.

I feed this to my dogs everyday! I have a 65 pound dog and a 15 pound dog. It's hard finding a dog food that both dogs can/will eat. I think having real Chicken is the key to my dog loving it so much! I think if my dogs had a choice they would eat this food until they couldn't eat anymore. I also love that it comes with a ziploc bag. This is soo nice, I have had problems with bugs getting in other bags but with the ziploc feature I don't have to worry about that happening. If you are wondering if this is the right dog food for you I would say this is an easy answer for you. I had tried so many different kinds of dog food because they dogs are both very very picky and as soon as I gave my dogs this food for the first time they ate it up within minutes. I can honestly say this is the ONLY dog food for my dogs. I wouldn't buy anything else!

My dogs love this food, I do wish it was lamb and rice, but veggeables make up for it. As long as you dog hasn't any allergy to chicken, then this is probably the perfect dog food for your dog, I know it's been a hit in my house. It is as good as me cooking their dinner for them. I think it has everything they need, for a dry dog food. If your looking to change dog food brands I would recommend that you try this food for your dogs first, before trying anything else. you may be pleasantly surprized as to how much your dogs may prefer this food over other brands, my youngest was so picking for so long till she tried this food, she never ate puppy food, which most dogs will eat at any age.I'm pleased and I will continue feeding this brand to my pups for a very long time.

my dogs absolutely love Pedigree Chicken, Rice, and Vegetables Dry Dog food. I have the pickiest dogs in the world and this is the one thing that they can both agree on. If I get any other kind of food for my pug/boxer, he will pick and choose the peices of food that he wants to eat and leave the rest in his bowl LOL. With Pedigree Chicken, Rice & Vegetables, he actually eats the entire bowl and then "asks" for more. I don't feel like I'm wasting my money on this food. I also like that it is reasonably priced. So many of the good dog foods are so expensive and it's very hard for me to spend so much money on dog food. I like that I can find this product just about anywhere I shop. I hope this food stays around for awhile! Great product!
