Pedialyte Oral Electrolyte Maintenance Solution

5

I recall occasions when my young sons were not very well, they hadn't eaten anything in a couple of days, and what was worse, I was very concerned at how little they were drinking. My Pediatrician recommended Pedialyte Oral Electrolyte Maintenance Solution so I went to the store and purchased some immediately. This little bottle is "goodness in a jar". It replaces the chemicals lost during vomiting and diarrhea. I gave my son the tiniest little amount to begin with equivalent to just a few drops and as he gradually picked up, I was able to give him a proper dose. If you feel like because they're not eating and therefore not getting any nutrients that would help them get better more quickly, that is exactly what this product is meant for. It's nutrients in a bottle which give them the strength to get better by themselves. A liquid enabler, if you will. I would recommend every parent have this little bottle of miracle in their kitchen cabinet for when they need it.

Pedialyte is a must when baby has a tummy bug

5

The first time our son had a tummy bug as an infant the pediatrician recommended that we use Pedialyte Oral Electrolyte Maintenance Solution to keep him hydrated and then ease back into formula. I taste everything I give my child to eat or drink, and found the taste to be really sweet. Luckily he seemed to like the taste and took it well. Now as soon as he comes down with a tummy bug we start giving him Pedialyte. It seems to be gentle on his stomach and he can keep that down when he can't handle solid food. We learned that it is best to just give him a bit at a time to make sure he can keep it down. We used to buy the big bottles of Pedialyte, but luckily we learned about the little packets of Pedialyte mix. The packets are easier to store and take on vacation, plus we don't have as much waste because there is no way he can drink the big bottle of Pedialyte before it goes bad. We've tried all of the flavors but now we try to just use apple. It's not quite as sweet as the other flavors and sort of tastes like apple juice. My son seems to prefer the apple flavor and I like that it doesn't stain like the other flavor varieties do. Pedialyte is rather expensive, but so are most medications and baby products for that matter, and I would pay any price for my child to feel better when he's sick.

Pedialyte Restores Fluid and Electrolytes Quickly

5

A sick child often needs more than the basic medicine and TLC to recover. If vomiting and/or diarrhea persist, it can lead to dehydration and one product designed specificallyto replace the body's vital fluids is **Pedialyte Oral Electrolyte Maintenance Solution, Grape flavor.** ** ** **Medicine Commentary:** Pedialyte Oral Electrolyte Maintenance Solution is nothing more than a bottle of liquid with added ingredients to replace electrolytes and other important chemicals to the body. This Pedialyte product contains mostly water with added ingredients such as dextrose, sodium chloride, citric acid, potassium citrate, and more. Each liter has 100 calories, 45 mg of sodium, and 20mg of dextrose. Pedialyte Oral Electrolyte Maintenance Solution is made with kids in mind and its use isn't medicinal. It is meant to replace fluids when a child has lost them due to diarrhea or vomiting. Most parents use it along with other medicines, in order to make sure water and electrolytes are replaced so that ordinary sickness doesn't get even worse. It quickly restores fluids and helps aid in a child's quick recovery. Pedialyte Oral Electrolyte Maintenance Solution is intended to stop dehydration and even though it isn't medicine, kids will likely perceive it as such and may be reluctant to take it. The manufacturers of Pedialyte are fully aware of this problem and that is why they made this product the way they did. With its fruity grape flavor, most any child will take to it immediately. It tastes very much like a grape- flavored child's juice drink. Pedialyte Oral Electrolyte Maintenance Solution is safe for kids age one and up. With infants, parents should consult a doctor first, just to be safe. It can be administered in most any quantity until a proper level of dehydration is reached. **Bottom Line Viewpoint:** Sick children often lose a great deal of fluids and their small bodies can easily become dehydrated, making a bad situation even worse. But Pedialyte Oral Electrolyte Maintenance Solution is ready to solve the problem quickly and with no worry. It is completely safe to use and it helps restore the body's fluid balance and a child's good health.

this stuff does the trick

4

My daughter is eight months old almost and has not been sick in a very long time. She got a nasty little cold from her big cousin last week. She was still eating and drinking a good amount but it seemed like her diapers were less and less. She is usually a super soaker when it comes to diapers, but her urine output has been reduced. I decided to pick up some pedialyte so she doesn't become dehydrated any more than she already had. I didn't want to give her juice because I knew that would dehydrate her more. I bought her some fruit flavored pedialyte. I got it in the individual serving sizes though because she is so little there is no way she will go through a whole bottle in 48 hours before it goes bad. She liked the taste and I hope it keeps her hydrated!

Pedialyte does the trick!

My one year old had his first case of the stomach flu recently. He was throwing up for two days and had diarrhea for 4 days. The poor kid was completely dehydrated after a day. He didn't want to drink formula, and he wouldn't really drink much water. Pedialyte was the only thing we could get him to drink! I felt good about it helping to balance his system again more quickly than just water, and it seemed to give him just enough energy to keep going. I did have to try a couple flavors before we found one my son liked--Apple. The unflavored kind was not a hit with him. We tried mixing it in his formula and giving it straight but he just spit that one out. Still, I'm very happy to have Pedialyte as an option when my son gets sick. I'm sure this won't be the last time!

My kids like this and it really helps!

We have three young kiddos and of course they've all gone through the normal kid-illnesses about 2-3 times per year (at least!).  When they get sick with flu-type symptoms, we always give them grape pedialyte.  It seems to be easier for them to drink and keep down.  My baby is now 3 months old and just got over his first round of sickness.  He was so sick he had to go to the hospital for dehydration, and the nurses there gave him pedialyte to get him back on track.  They used a clear one in the  hospital but we use the grape at home.  Surprisingly, the purple color has never caused any issues with staining at our house.  The boys just really seem to enjoy the flavor and I feel much better about giving them pedialyte than I do giving them sprite or 7-up.  I have even been known to give it to my husband when he was feeling under the weather -- I really think this product works well at getting them back on their little feet when kids are ill.

Helps to hydrate

Pedialyte can help people stay hydrated. Surprisingly it can help your pets stay hydrated too. Recently my cat had a urinary tract infection and staying hydrated was critical for her to get better. The vet recommended using clear pedialyte as an alternative option to water. Both my cats preferred to water and actually drank quite a bit. We've tried generic versions as well, but both cats seem to prefer the brand Pedialyte. It's pricier than water, but a lot cheaper than the vet bills if they get sick again.

Pedialyte Rehydrates and Restores Good Health

4

Pedialyte is a liquid rehydrating formula that is made especially for infants and young children. The product contains water and electrolytes to help restore the child's bodily balance and return to good health. There is no sugar in this product- an ingredient which can actually lead to increased water loss and dehydration. Instead, the flavored varieties use fructose for sweetening purposes.  Most parents simply turn to ordinary beverages like fruit juice, milk, and other common drinks to replace the losses but Pedialyte is better because it replaces the electrolytes that are necessary for proper bodily functions. Potassium, sodium, and other important elements need to be restored and these ingredients are often not found in large enough quantities in most beverages. Pedilyte is manufactured with just the right balance of minerals to get your child or infant back to his his/her good health. There is one strike against Pedialyte that must be pointed out: Its price. A one- liter bottle sells for a price level that might make some parents reconsider a purchase. There are usually generic alternatives that are much less expensive and offer a product that is almost exactly the same. It basically comes down to brand loyalty at this point. If you trust generic brands, then generic is the way to go but if you feel more secure giving your young child something from a reputable brand name company, then Pedialyte is the product to buy. Overall, Pedialyte is a very good product and it's a must- have product for parents of young children and infants. It restores lost body fluids- both water and electrolytes- due to vomiting, diarrhea, and other causes. It is like a sports drink for young kids with just the right balance of essential minerals to get your little one's body back to normal.
