My son is 6 years old and is a picky eater, so for an alternative I would give him Pediasure. I have noticed a change in his growth and his pediatrician confirmed it and it is due to the Pediasure.

My daughter was born premature and since then has had an issue with being underweight for her age. At the recommendation of her pediatrician, I began giving her Pediasure because there are alot of times where I just cannot get her to eat and she does not drink the amount of formula pediatricians suggest she should be drinking for her age. Well, since she started drinking pediasure I noticed a big change in her appetite as far as her wanting to eat more and what have you. The only problem I notice is that on the days that I do not give her pediasure her appetite decreases and goes back to how it was before I started giving her pediasure yet on the days when I do give her the drink that is when her appetite increases. Not sure if that's how it's supposed to be but I feel sort of so so about this since pediasure IS a meal replacement drink for when children won't eat. The only downfall is that I hate how expensive it is since my daughter sometimes drinks more than one pediasure in a day and since she is only 11 months, and the recommended age for giving pediasure to children is 1, my local WIC office can not give me WIC checks to use to buy them.

I am a caretaker for a child who has extreme struggles with putting on weight. Due to a medical problem, he can not gain any weight and has no appetite. I have been looking for two years for way to help him gain weight and these drinks have become my answer. They are packed with vitamins, protein, and nutrients to help children. I mix them with milk for this kid to give him more fat. This child, who usually will not eat anything, will drink three of these a day. They have become a life saver for me because the child loves them so much. They flavors I had tried are vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry. This child loves all three of them. I would highly recommend this product to anyone. It has been great for me and the child I love! Quality of Ingredients These drinks have just what I need to help my child. They have wonderful ingredients in them and they taste really good. Children love them because they think they taste like chocolate or strawberry milk. This is definitely a quality drink! Safety I have seen no side effects with these drinks whatsoever.

I love giving my kids these. I have such a hard time with getting them to eat a balanced meal each day. They always want the same things over and over, and those things are not very nutrious. My kids love milk, milkshakes and smoothies. So, when I give these to them they think they are a special dessert treat and they are getting nutrients that they normally would not be getting. They love them so much they usually want more than one. They drink them at room temperature or cold. I think these are a great way to sneak somethng good into them. Quality of Ingredients They have some good ingridents in there to help get the kids the nutrients that they need. I would like them to be bpa free and organic but this is something my kids live and they do not get them on a daily basis even though they could be drank everyday. Safety I give them to my kids in their own cups or they really like to drink them from a straw.

My child loves this drink. Ever sinceshe had it, she is always after me to have more of it. This is one thing I do not mind giving her, as I know it is healthy and good for her. During summers, it is a very refreshing drink when served chilled. And with the small size of the bottle, we can carry it easily evrerywhere.

It is amazing. My kids love it and the funny part is that they don't even know its good for them. It lets me know that even if they don't eat their vegs and fruits they still have Nutripals makeing them stay fit and heathly,it balances their mainly sugar diet.

My daughter was very ill and lost about 10 pounds. Over the course of 8 or 9 months Pediasure has been one of the key drinks that have helped her gain most of her weight back. Her favorite flavors are the chocolate and strawberry. She's not a big fan of the banana or berry but I'll take what I can get. I love that Pediasure has to many vitamins and minerals, something my daughter was lacking. Each drink is 250 calories, so with 2-3 per day she was getting an additional 500-750 calories she otherwise would not have been able to consume through food. They "milk shakes" as we call them in our house are best cold, very cold. I often add ice or bananas for a bit of a change. I will keep giving these to my daughter even after she is back to normal weight so I can be assured she is getting a serving of healthy vitamins and minerals each day. Lastly, these things can be spendy but I have had good luck at received a lot of Catalina coupons through the local grocery stores I visit as well as coupons directly from the manufacturers website.

My daughter is quite underweight and has been since 8 months.  We started using Pediasure just before she turned 2 to help her gain weight.  She loves the vanilla with fiber flavor and will not drink any other high calorie drink.  She won't even drink the other flavors of Pediasure.  At 1 calorie per mililiter, 3 bottles of Pediasure helps her come close to her goal of 1200 calories a day.  Since Pediasure is so filling, we time the drinks so that it is not before or during a meal.  During meals, she drinks milk or juice.  She tends to drink one container first thing in the morning, a second before nap, and her third before bed.  I like that DHA is now part of the formula. It even adds a few calories.  :)  If you are worried about your child's weight, ask your pediatrician about adding Pediasure to his/her diet. The only downside to Pediasure is the expense, especially if you are like us and going through a six-pack every two days.

Without the availability of this product when my Great grandson was born with his problems (B.O.O.P.) the least of which was regurgitation, I do not believe honestly he would not be as healthy as he is now.
