I was skeptical at first when I saw this advertised on late night TV. Finally after finding it in a local store I figured I'd give it a try - if it didn't work I knew I could return it and get my money back. Having three dogs and two cats, if it was as good as the manufacture stated it was worth the money at my house. I left it out where the dogs could sniff and smell it for a few days. Then would just sit and hold it. After a day or two they just ignored it so I turned it on. All three dogs were not too pleased with the noise it made, in fact they all backed way up and just stared at me. But after a couple days of this they again just ignored it. Finally it was time to try it out. I picked the most mellow of the three, stuck some dog cookies in my pocket and then gave it a try. It was easy to use and after the dog got used to the sound an vibration he just relaxed and let me trim his nails. All three dogs are now used to this new device and nail trimming is much easier and neater. As for the cats - they run and hide to this day.
